Pros: Not opened on day of drop off. They claim on the box that I would be charged an extra day because they do not open till Monday. WTFCons: Rent from airport site as I thought. I learned my lesson dealing with a sup-par web site

Cons: When I got there they were closed. I have requested a refund and they said 7 to 10 days, that shouldn’t be the case. I had to Uber my way to my final destination. Very upset and unhappy

Pros: Staff friendly and pick up and drop off was easy and smooth.Cons: Everything was fine. Car 2018 Malibu was surprisingly underpowered. No acceleration for passing big trucks, etc.

Cons: car rental company is not near the airport. nor sure why this location came up after booking a flight to st louis. unfortunately i only found this out after arriving via the airport shuttle that i was booked at a different location. Hertz offered 2 options either uber to the other location, What?!? or pay $160 for a car from their lot on top of the $40 for the other lot. no thanks. being a Gold member I expected more. I took the shuttle back to the airport and rented a car from Thrifty for $70.

Did not pick up vehicle; given incorrect location through 3rd partyPros: Everyone that I spoke with was very polite.Cons: Vehicle Pickup location was changed during the booking process. This rental was prepaid. I lost my money and was without a vehicle for the duration of my travel. No one was actually helpful. Everyone simply transferred me to someone else. I never got a working resolution for my issue. When you work with a 3rd party, that implies an endorsement and trust in the business relationship. I was told by two different employees from Hertz that my issue is common and happens all the time. Since there is knowledge of the issue and it has not been fixed, this implies that all parties involved are content to take a customers payment without delivering a service. Good day to everyone involved...never again will I do business with any of the companies (Kayak, Expedia, Carrental.com, Hertz).

Location Bait & SwitchCons: I showed up at the St. Louis airport Hertz location - the location I selected when searching for cars - only to be told you'd booked me at another location 45 miles away. I couldn't get there. I spent an hour on the phone trying to switch my reservation. And I nearly missed the meeting I'd flown in for. The folks at the airport location said this happens all the time. I had to make a whole new reservation and pay more for it. I still haven't received reimbursement for my initial reservation either. Waiting on $210. I assume I'll have to spend more frustrating time on the phone trying to get it back.

Pros: The car ran well.Cons: The pick-up was not at the airport. The counter service was not customer friendly. The car was dirty and smelled of smoke. The instructions for pick-up at the 800# (because the pick-up location is not a 24 hour service center) were to call an hour prior for pick-up or the rental company would reimburse the taxi fare. However, they would not pick-up nor reimburse the $62.00 taxi. I will not rent from them ever again!

Kayak Drops the BallCons: Tried to book near airport. &45 uber ride way south after Hertz at airport said Kayak booked at wrong place. No help or assistance from Hertz at the airport location. Once I arrived at the way inconvenient location I had to wait for car to get its oil changed. Nice folks there however and they reported it happens all the time with third party vendors.

Pros: I didn't like anything about this experience!!!!!!!!! AwfulCons: The car wasn't clean, the driver's seat wouldn't come up, the passenger side seat wouldn't push back, the gas gage was broken, the eco button wouldn't stay on. Discovered the filth in the car while on my way to a Dr. appt. I stopped and crumbs, ketchup packs, napkins, food products came rushing from under the seats. Charged over half the FEE for having the car 1 day now in DISPUTE!!!!!!!!! DESPICABLE!!!!!!!!

On 2/4, I paid $136 for a one day rental, St. Louis, MO to Hickory, NC. On 2/10, I paid $36 for a 2-hour rental, Lynchburg, VA to Richmond, VA.

The vehicle was fine, Budget’s service was terrible!Pros: Car was clean, late model, ran well, no issues with the vehicle.Cons: The employee morale at the St Louis Airport Budget is terrible! Not one “hello” or smiling face during the entire car rental experience - both renting and returning. Things started at the airport with the Budget shuttle driver yelling at an elderly customer who was having difficulty boarding the shuttle. When we arrived at the service counter(shared with Avis rental car), we were met with a long line, we have no issues waiting in line, but since the counter is shared with Avis rentals it was confusing to figure out which side to go...as it turned out, there’s only one line, but a simple sign or a door greeter would have been nice as many other customers were just as confused as we were. When we finally made it through the line and approached the service counter, I was checked in by a “Manager” who already looked annoyed, he mumbled every word he spoke and got visabily angry with me as I kept asking him to repeat himself. He didn’t have a speech impediment, I just couldn’t hear him speaking to me over the other customers and representatives. He whispered something to the representative sitting next to him while he could not find my reservation, at one point he handed me back my Govt. CC and ID and told me someone else whould finish helping me as he was going to take his break. I finally got the rental vehicle which ended being $110 more than the quoted price, I called the 1-800 number to try to figure out the price difference but gave up after being transferred several times, I had already taken possession of the vehicle, so I had my doubts they would be able to do anything about the price anyway. On return of the vehicle, we were once again met with a confusing experience, there was a rental return sign pointing to several lanes already full of returned vehicles, I had to weave my way through several lanes until I thought I found the right space, I stepped out of the vehicle and waited for an attendant to check the vehicle back in. After not being acknowledged for several minutes, I walked across the lot to ask another attendant what to do, he suggested that I just leave the vehicle and I would get my receipt emailed to me. I’m familiar with the car rental process at airports, I travel frequently for both work and pleasure. I’ve never had such a poor rental experience previously. This appears to be an employee morale problem much larger than a few disgruntled workers.

Cons: I was FORCED to pay for loss/damage insurance or told I could not rent the vehicle. This was DESPITE the fact that I had a reservation with a confirmation number for the car WITHOUT the insurance. This is complete highway robbery and fraud. I am extremely mad that I was forced to pay almost $200 that I didn't want or need to.

Car Rental made easyPros: My price was extremely reasonable. The car was a hybrid and cost $19 in gas for my whole trip. Rental and return were fast, efficient, and the service was friendly. This was the best rental car experience I ever had!Cons: I had no problems with this rental.

never again if I have a ChoiceCons: I rented the vehicle through Kayak and printed the confirmation email. However when I got to budget to pickup my vehicle, they had it noted for completely different dates and would not honor my Kayak rental. I ended up paying twice as much as what I had budgeted. The car was not clean inside or out, and the Bluetooth stereo would not sync for hands free operation. If I have a choice in the future, I will not rent from budget again.

Horrible, need my money backPros: The enterprise that kayak selected to use was not the same location that the airport takes you to with their shuttle. Therefore I had to rent a completely different car from the airport enterprise or try to figure out some way to get 40 minutes away where the reservation was. Kayak should know that the airport shuttle does not go to the location that was selected and that it would be extremely difficult to get there without knowing a lot about that area. I didn't get to use my kayak reservation and because of kayak I had to rent 2 cars essentially and only used one. Please don't waste my money and refund my reservation.

Wrong enterprise locationCons: This Enterprise was 40 minutes from the airport with no shuttle. The airport shuttle took us to the one in Berkley that was 5 minutes from the airport and had the shuttle. The taxi alone would have been more than the car rental

Pros: The ease of picking up the car and dropping it off. The agents were very nice and helpful.Cons: The cost of the added insurance. I know this is an option but I paid $40 for the car and $60 for the insurance! I did not like that part.

Pros: Car was clean and ready for meCons: at the time of reservation wasn't informed of extra charges, at the time of pick up I was told I needed to pay 140 is more, to rent the car. When I asked for an explanation on the time of drop off the person on the counter seemed annoyed and dismissed me as quick as she could since I was bothering her... won't ever use this company again.

Pros: The Vehicle was very comfortable.Cons: The Service was not good at all. They refused to show the components of the car, In fact, I needed the vehicle to drive to Omaha, NE and could not find the cruise control. I could have read the manual but was in a time crunch. Then I had paid for extra insurance through you. Not knowing how things worked with them, I usually use Enterprise, when asked I also purchased the insurance they offered. I assumed that they knew about my complete contract. I work in retail and we ask the customer what they have before we offer any additions. I expected them to be the same way. it was my fault also that I was pressed for time and a little perplexed with the service. I am used to a more congenial and friendly atmosphere which was not present. If asked I would not recommend thrifty to anyone.

Cons: The price was different from the original quote that you gave me. There was a 200 dollar deposit and unlimited mileage wasn't unlimited on in covered areas so an additional 80 dollars had to be paid

Pros: Vehicle was clean and drove nice. Plenty of room.Cons: Added expenses upon pick up. Charged extra ($35) to use my debit card but not given a choice of other payments. Also charged a $200 deposit. And have to wait up to two or three weeks to get it back. Charged another $100 for going outside the very limited amount of states they allowed. So my $469 rental price was jacked up to $806. Very disappointing.

I will NEVER use Thrifty again.Pros: Nothing.Cons: Customer service was horrendous--they were very rude. They charged me $100 clean up fee for "dog hair all over". We never had any dogs or animals in the vehicle. The car had two water bottles under the front passenger seat to begin with when we picked it up.

a little slow...but flexiblePros: I made a reservation without realizing I it was for a location other than the international airport location where I was arriving. It took a long time to get to the desk upon arrival. Once I got to the desk, I found out my mistake. To complicate matters, it was on Thursday before the Easter weekend. The other location was 30 minutes or so away. The rental agent gave me the price for a new reservation at the airport--but it was almost double the price of my reservation. After several minutes and a final request to see if the rental agent could do ANYTHING to help me, he found a rate that was $20 higher than my original reservation. I really appreciated that!!! Sometimes slower is okay. Thank you!Cons: If I could have gotten through the process faster, I could have spent more time seeing St. Louis...but as mentioned...I made the reservation mistake and Avis/Budget helped me out.
