I guess I lucked out because I reserved a mid-sized SUV but they only had a Hybrid Toyota Sienna that gets 36/36 mpg.. Since we were going to do a lot of driving this really saved me some serious money. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and pleasant to deal with.Enterprise Rent-A-Car

We received a Subaru Legacy and the AWD was great and came in handy when driving in the snow. The stereo was nice and boomy.Cons:
I reserved a "full size" Camry or something comparable and received the Subaru Legacy. I felt it was more of an intermediate type and didn't have the comfort and space I had in mind. Was it fine? Yes. I own one in fact. I just expected more. There wasn't an ice scraper which made some occasions a little tricky. It also was low on oil which I didn't notice till drop off when the light came on.Hertz

Staff was friendly, but drop off was not easy. I left the car on Saturday after hours. My original drop off was sunday, so I was early but they added an additional $100 charge because they didn't close out the rental. It is monday and I am still seeing this on my credit card.Cons:
If you are dropping a car on a day when there is not a person on site, don't charge an extra $100. Maybe wait until Monday? Castle Rock Hertz was very unprofessional. Reservation was made 5 weeks in advance and the only reason a vehicle was available is because it got returned for being too small for previous customer. It was very small ended up breaking down halfway thru our trip. Birmingham airport Hertz manager was very helpful and got us into a regular minivan. I'm still waiting for Castle Rock area manager to call since we made the complaint during initial pickup.Cons:

We were looking for a one way rental from Colorado to California and the prices we found were astronomical! One company wanted close to $2,000.00, another, $1500.00. We flew into Denver and wanted to drive through Colorado and Utah to visit National Parks on our way home to California. After much searching, I found Kayak.com and entered the needed information and got a price for a one way rental that seemed too good to be true, and you know what "they" say about anything that is too good to be true. I did some research and found that Kayak.com is legitimate, so I booked the one way rental at less than a quarter of the price other companies were asking. When it was time to pick up our rental car, we got a Nissan Altima. What a nice ride! And got 37 miles per gallon. Such a comfy car, perfect for cross country driving. Next time we need a rental car, we're going straight to Kayak.com. The young may at the Castle Rock, Colorado, Hertz Car Rental Co. was professional and friendly and, on top of the great deal we already had through Kayak.com, he gave us an additional discount for our Triple A Membership!Cons:
