Hotels near Ulan-Ude airport

Pros: The staff! Specifically, I am greatful to Yulia who was the most gracious and professional administrator and took care of our stay extremely well! She helped with booking a wonderful room, extending our stay through booking, arranging an amazing tour around the city and Ivolginsky datsan. Her manager Margarita was also Very kind in finding us the best ever Guide Natalia! Thank you so very much! EH

Cons: Well, the staff at the bar 12 - quite ignorant, barely noticed guests when we walked in. Never took our call next day when we tried to make a reservation. Then we called the restaurant multiple tomes, and eventually, they only took Our call and we’re closed again but offered a reservation at the bar with Kalyan smoking. Sorry, but this is not what I except when I book 5 star hotel for the weekend.

Pros: The facilities are outstanding: huge gym, pool, sauna, rooftop bar. Rooms are also comfortable and large. The location is not in a particularly nice surrounding but close to the station and the main square, so quite convenient

Cons: It is 5 stars and you pay quite a bit, but then some details are not in order. For example, shower basin flooded because the drain was clogged with hair, window let through a (very minimal) amount of rain. On each room there is a list of costs incurred for breaking each and every item in the room, (TV 45,0000 rubles) which was a bit strange. Breakfast was also not that great and the burger I ordered at the rooftop bar was horrible.

Pros: What a wonderful hotel. Our room was very clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. Great views from the revolving rooftop bar. Good food and cocktails. Loved the indoor pool it is a really good size and no hidden charges! We would like to say a big thank to Oksana for all her help. She is a very valuable asset to the hotel. Highly recommended.

Pros: I loved everything about this place! The design, the people, the comfort, the cleanliness, the amenities, the free WiFi, the high-tech equipment (two big brand new Samsung LED TVs and excellent cable/sat TV), the catering, the location, ... EVERYTHING!! It's just unique in Ulan-Ude. I was surprised to even find that high standard. I will be back for sure!

Pros: Location is excellent, restaurant tengis is the best in the city. Personnel was was very attentive!

Cons: Well, breakfast was ok, not great. Rooms are on a smaller side. Thus, I had to upgrade to a premium room to be comfortable and pay more than I expected.

Pros: Location is great! Breakfast was very good, started early enough, liked various tasty dishes.

Cons: Rooms are relatively small, although we understand it's an old building. Bathroom needed some fixes. The ironing room was kind of far.

Pros: The hotel was better than we were expecting in terms of facilities and the room (comfort and decor). The staff at reception were very helpful and spoke English. We had to leave early in the morning to catch a train, before breakfast is normally served. As an alternative we were provided with a food pack in the morning to take with us. A nice touch. The hotel is within walking distance from the railway station (provided the footpaths are not icy) and in a convenient location to see the historical parts of the city.

Pros: It is located in the middle of the City. Due to this it’s a little noisy. But due to price/value we will go back!

Pros: Hotel is in the quite green nook in the centre of the city. Perfect location for tourists to get on foot to the historical centre of the city. Clean and equipped and furnished enough room.

Cons: The only disappointing thing is that restaurant closes at 1 a.m. and they play loud music which you can hear in your room. Maybe there are rooms where sound doesn’t reach.

Pros: The location of the property was convenient and walking distance to town center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed in the room was quite comfortable. There is also a pretty good restaurant right on the property that delivers room service.

Cons: The room itself could be a little more updated and clean in terms of the walls and carpet. Also, the elevator is very small and kind of old.

Pros: The hotel is located right near the main city square, just a few minutes walk. The staff is very friendly. Since there was no any standard room available they upgraded us to a suite room. Rooms are very clean and well quipped, nothing to complain about. I definitely suggest to stay here.

Cons: Very clean and good location. It was very easily get the center of the city from the installation of the hotel. Room with a lot of space, and private bathroom. All experience was very good. I recommend this hotel.

Cons: I was allocated room 107 where the window faces the front of the hotel. People will be smoking outside the hotel and smoke will come in. I also didn't want to close the windows because the air is very still.

Pros: It could be a cute little hotel, it is very clean, very good position in a quiet inner court.

Cons: Not very hot water, unstable wifi, receptionists that don't speak even the most basic English. Furniture and windows that seem quite new but half-broken. It seemed to be more of a hostel than a hotel.

Cons: Incredibly small boiler in room - only 10 liters of water. It isn't enough to shower... I don't recommend.

Pros: Good location right on the Walking Street, in the very downtown of U-U. All the facilities worked alright. Not bad for a provincial hotel.

Cons: Our fridge had someone else's food, so we've called the reception lady to pick it up.

Pros: Close to the railway station, from station to hotel is an uphill walk which takes about 7-10 mins depends on your speed and fitness level 😅 Tram stop and bus stop located right in front of the hotel. Receptionist, Sayana, speaks very good English and she is very friendly. It doesn't have electric kettle in the room but there is a water dispenser down the corridor. Decent and spacious twin room. Overall rating is 7.5.

Cons: There is no elevator. The interior of the room is a bit rundown.

Pros: The room was clean. The rooms are quiet. The beds are comfortable. The hotel is located close to a supermarket where you can shop for the basics.

Cons: The rooms are not cleaned and made-up every day. Only a hand-held shower was working. There is no door bolt system to secure the door. The TV remote did not work. The staff speaks some english. However, the cafe menus are in Russian only.
