Pros: We stay here when we come to Laredo. Probably the most consistent hotel. Besides the smell, it was a nice stay.

Cons: Room smelled funny. Weird smell when the a/c turned on. Musty, stale.

Cons: I was disappointed that room smelled like cigarettes smoke!!!

Pros: Breakfast is very good.

Cons: The pool was under construction.

Pros: As usual the rooms were great, breakfast was fantastic and the free happy hour is why I use the Embassy Suites Hotel

Cons: Many of the staff, while they were very friendly, spoke zero English. Unfortunately, I even had one person when asked to help me with something said something in Spanish and turned and walked away and helped someone else.

Cons: There was an issue with the valet carts. They were not available and the staff didn't know were they were.

Pros: The location was good. Near lots of stores and restaurants.

Cons: There were maintenance issues with our rooms. One bedroom did not have working a/c so maintenance had to be called. He reset it and got it working but it took a while to cool. The other room bathroom toilet was not working. Toilet did not flush again has to call maintenance. Showers were dirty and shower curtain was moldy.

Pros: I like our room and the location to the pool, how clean the room and bathroom were and how attentive housekeeping was.

Cons: The lady at check-in was not very friendly, the restaurant took FOREVER and there was only 2 other tables in there and staff offered no apologies for the 45 minute wait for our food, valet NEVER answered the phone and it took about 20 minutes to get our car.

Pros: The junior suite was a perfect size room for 3 adults. It has 1 full bath and half a bath. The living room with the pull out couch is almost like a second bedroom. Very spacious. Easy Access to your vehicle to come and go as you please. They also have valet.

Pros: Young gentleman in restaurant was very courteous. Excellent customer service.

Cons: Should have better selection of snacks in little store. Restaurant in Lobby should open every evening for dinner.

Pros: Excellent restoration of historic hotel. Staff who fully understand hospitality. Excellent view across the river/border. Old Laredo has lots of border shops that serve Mexican customers but the old fabric is there and very enjoyable. The downtown is peppered with old civic buildings and hotels waiting to be rediscovered.

Cons: I'd like to see the City of Laredo make better decisions about embracing and re-populating it's downtown. Less sprawl, more civic love. None of that reflects on the Hotel. The La Posada is one of the great ideas about keeping downtown Laredo alive.

Pros: Loved the good old Laredo friendly service and attentiveness and the cleanliness and luxury feel as well as the beautiful old Spanish looking architecture

Cons: Black stains on the carpet in the room (113) and when you walk into the lobby from the pool there is a restroom odor but other than that everything was great and up to standard

Pros: The staff is amazing! My husband is currently staying there as a nurse and they were very helpful in giving him packages we have left and just very, very helpful. Kevin, is particularly awesome!

Cons: Cleanliness and all around aesthetic of the hotel were not as good as on my previous stays at this location. Tub & shower walls were visibly rusted and there was staining in the sink and on the sheets (it looked like a pen had leaked onto the sheets and they had washed them but failed to get all the ink out). I'm sure if I had brought this up to the staff they would have relocated me, but I was too tired to bother. Everything was clean enough, just not up to par with what I have come to expect from Courtyard and from this location in particular.

Pros: I am a regular customer with another company. I plan to switch to Marriott Rewards, as there is more value for the money. It was a quality experience..

Cons: We were charged a 50 deposit for any damages, we have never been charged that. Our room window unit was blowing out warm air instead of cool, it had a damp smell, we notified front desk Saturday before we left out and nothing was done until I had to go complain. There is not much water pressure, rooms and hallways look old and dirty, for the price we were charged!!!!

Pros: The offer of both free dinner and breakfast is a winner!

Cons: 1. the hotel carpets are old and smelly. Needs an update. 2. despite having made my reservation with full disclosure of having dogs, no mention of what turned out to be an outrageously, expensive "cleaning fee" was added on to my bill $75, nearly doubling the total cost for the night. Advance communication would have led to me staying elsewhere. 3. unlike other hotels I've stayed at on this same road trip, there was no hand sanitizer anywhere avail for guest but the staff were wearing masks.

Cons: I booked 2 rooms and was told when I got there that I could only book one room under my name. But just back in March I booked 3 rooms under my name and we had no issues. This was already a stressful situation because we were there for my dad’s ashes burial and this situation didn’t make it any better. The girl at the front desk didn’t even know what to do. I told her if she could please call her manager because I didn’t understand why we booked 3 rooms just in March and now we couldn’t. The person she called was absolutely no help and wasn’t apologetic about the situation. She just told me I had to redo the reservation with two different names. I’ve booked two rooms for years now in different hotels and cities and this is the first time I’ve ever had this happen. Very unsatisfied with how the staff handled my situation.

Cons: The room wasn’t cleaned properly. The sink was disgustingly dirty, the sheets were dirty, the floor, etc..

Pros: The bed was decently comfortable & I loved the arm chair.

Cons: There is no coffeemaker in the room, no hair dryer, no lotion in bathroom, no fridge, no microwave. The lady who cleaned our room took our hand towel & didn't replace it the couple days we were there, we had to use a wash cloth to dry our hands. Since there is no tissues in the room, we used more toilet paper. The cleaner didn't give us an extra roll the last day we were there and we ran out.

Pros: No eggs. Bed was ok.

Cons: Lobby bathroom was a mess - dirty and a bit disgusting. Manager was unpleasant with me at checkout. Seems there was a new policy adopted since my last stay - checkout at 11 am. I was unaware despite managers insistence that I would have been informed of the new policy at check-in, which I was not.

Pros: The toilet was running all night and since I'm handicapped I couldn't fix it and finally I tried to get to stop at so I didn't get a good night's sleep it was a very loud pitch noise they weren't able to fix it till the morning I wish they would have thought it me an extra day for the inconvenience of dealing with a sound and also I told them about the phone cord does need to be repaired it makes a crackling sound

Pros: The only thing I liked was the distance from the interstate.

Cons: The long time to check in with a rude attendant. Our first room was filled with trash. Literally trash, the toilet trash was over flowing. There was trash all over the room. Then the attendant was mad that I asked for another room like it was my fault. I don't usually do this but all the time I spend in the road the was one of the lowest

Cons: There was roaches in the room. Smelled like cogarrete despite being "smoke free", useless air conditioned, wet carpet due to air conditioned malfunction, dirtty room overall. The rate should be like $30.00 bucks.

Pros: This is my go to! Staff is always friendly and willing to help me if I have any issues. Beds are very comfortable.

Cons: I tried to cancel the reservation 30 minutes apart from the reservation due to a personal emergency and the staff told us that the Manager gave direct instructions that they MUST not cancel any reservation with no exception. I know they have the right to do it, but no flexibility at all does not help to the hotel. If I could give no stars for staff I would give none.

Pros: I love how spacious the room was and how big the beds were. Even though the beds were a little hard it was at a very good price. Also the coldness of the room was perfect!

Left after 1st night after waking up with bug bites all over. Exterminator in the elevator stated he was there to asses the bug issue due to complaints.

Cons: Breakfast was terrible, they must put a microwave for clients to use. No fried eggs, bacon, sausage or hash browns. The only hot food was half cooked boiled potatoes mixed with one egg!!!! This was every single day!!! No variety whatsoever!! The TV in the breakfast room didn't work either!! The bathroom tiles needed grouting as they were very dirty and parts missing, not very nice when you are having a shower!!

Pros: There was parking space available, this time. A king bed & non-smoking were available. Blow dryer, micro, mini-fridge and ironing board were in the room. The iron you had to go & sign for from the front desk. The room had a sofa, coffee table, and a work desk with a lamp. The room has accessible places to plug in our power cords. We did not need a password or to jump thru hoops to access the wireless internet.

Cons: The AC wasn't cooling well. It felt more like a fan. The mattress was very bouncy...felt like a water bed. The room's door had the bottom weatherseal coming off. Hallway light entered underneath the door. You could see the light coming in as you lay in bed. The bathroom ceiling light cover was missing. Bulb was exposed. Breakfast closes at 9:30 am....at 8 am they ran out of waffle mix. What was left of the eggs with potatoes tasted bland & powdery. The front desk was not manned around 9:25 am, we had to ring the bell & someone eventually came over from the kitchen/dining area to assist. Upon check-in, the front desk had trouble locating the Kayak reservation I made about 30 minutes earlier. Even with the reservation number. It took about 20 to 25 minutes to find it & check us in.

Pros: Nice and helpful front staff.

Cons: It was 10:30 pm and there was still loud music blasting in the 1st floor from a party. The pillows are tiny and not comfortable. The hotel needs an update.

Pros: I like that the hotel tried to update its facilities.

Cons: The updates were done by a cheap carpenter/handyman that left a large amount of defects. The furniture had obvious stains also.

Pros: Very good location. Far away from traffic.
