Twice we had trouble getting into the car and starting the engine. we had to use the key and remove a small cover on the handle. we also removed and re-installed the battery in the key fob. When it happened the second time, we bought a new battery ,installed it in the key fob and had no further trouble. It was a nuisance, both times we were out in the country AND we spent 8,95 euro .I still rated everything "good" as we were satisfied with everything else. I don't imagine that a FULL refund is justified? Martin Van Eerd

The first vehicle I received from Sixt Amsterdam branch had a gear problem.When I wanted to deliver the vehicle to the branch, they claimed that there was no problem and even if they took delivery of the vehicle, my money would be burned and they would not be able to give me a new vehicle.As a result of my intense insistence, staff spoke with the branch manager and exchanged the vehicle. When I received the vehicle, I took its photos and videos of the damaged areas.After returning the vehicle, the vehicle was not re-checked with me and the damages on the day I received the vehicle were tried to be reflected to me within 1 hour.Back to the branch; When I wanted to show the damage photos I took on the day I received the vehicle, the vehicle had already been given to another customer. Investigations are currently ongoing. I hope that the fault of the branch staff will not be reflected on me.A world-class company like Sixt should work with staff who can communicate properly with their customers.I hope that the penalty for this mistake will not be reflected on me and the deposit taken from my card will be fully refunded to my account.

Return the car is chaotic and can be difficult finding parking during busier times of the day. Other than that, Sixt staff is very friendly and try to accommodate you to the best of their ability. 8/10.

Fast puckup but dropoff after 5pm in that location is a bother - 6eur per hour parking and u find parking spot yourself (can be very tricky). Everything else is perfect

Booked on kayak had amsterdam airport as location of pick up and drop off after paying we noticed it’s not even the airport. I need up paying more to have it at the airport if you book just book direct from Sixt it’s actually cheaper

The car had a chokolate wrapper fell between the seat and thr handbrake from the previous person who rented our car,now.. normaly i wouldnt care but it says premium cleaned or something, now also… i wouldnt even care about that im from Croatia we are easy going people, but if i did this i would probably get chraged or something becouse of the “company policy” or some other general explenation, but non the less the service was great,the car was better then we expected ! and we even got the car a lil bit behind the deadline and we really apreciated that, 10/10 i would recomend the company ! and the service :)

My experience with ALAMO at Amsterdam City Center was extremely unsatisfactory. The unprofessional conduct of an employee named Paul, who refused to use an alternate card for payment, charged my credit card without consent, and declined to provide his last name, left me deeply dissatisfied. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing encounter.

Some difficulty with the payment credit card system like I have debit card and they refused revolut. Also my old licence seems here they need a new one. But we find the way. The car are well prepare super clean an a zone maintenance.

We are not satisfied with the rental services. We booked a car in advance and when we had to pick up, there was no available option for paying with debit card but credit only. You should implement different payment options and not limit to credit card!

I planned my trip with rented car, but when I came to pick it up, Alamo personnel just rejected to give me a car without any grounds. The only thing they told me - “We don’t like your credit card”. They did not even try to pay with it. When I started to ask to talk to senior managers - they called the police to get me out of the office. Young woman manager also told me that I make problems for them because of my nationality. That is completely unacceptable. As a result I had to go to the airport to rent a car from Sixt and spent additional 2 hours and paid twice for the airport tariffs

Instead of looking for solutions, the person at the desk kept repeating why we couln'd rent the car. I can understand the reasons why alamo doesn't accept prepaid credit cards (although Sixt does), but can't accept to have receptionists being so unresponsive and clearly lacking skills to look for solutions.
