Location Historical home of Sir Christopher Wren Grounds Terrace
Was offered a bar snack menu in bar overlooking grounds but was told that I could only eat it downstairs in the Vault Bar on my own (no one else in there) even though a few people were in the Terrace Bar because it detracts people from eating in the main restaurant where there was only one couple dining and it was 9pm, we didn't want a dining experience at that time. Kettle didn't work. Ancient phone and dirty. Shabby furniture needing repair. Will not return!
We were given room 66 the Love suite, it was absolutley stunning
The bed was extremely comfortable.
The hotel was very near where we needed to be that night- it was lovely to come back for a nightcap and go into the residents' bar to have someone playing the grand piano!
There was a lot of noise, I think from the heating system, which awoke us very early on Sunday morning.
