Comfortable beds, generally clean
Freezing - heater only turns on for a few hours at night, staff said they would turn it on several times but never did (worst place to be sick in bed!). Also drain in shower was slow and blind didn't block out the bright street lights.
The staff were really lovely and helpful. Showers were clean and no charge (just deposit) for towels. Bed was comfortable and it is well located
The noise from the bar drifts up into the rooms. The door also slams very loudly shut which shakes the entire bunk if you are by the door. The room got quite stuffy at night and smelt a bit like socks
The staff were exceptional and special mention to Turner who went above and beyond.
Expensive for what it was
The location is the only thing that would add credit to the property. It's close to town centre and lake. New World Supermarket is just around the corner.
It's definitely NOT suitable for family to stay even though there are queen room and triple-bed room with private bathrooms. The rooms are small and sound insulation is so bad. You can hear each person passing your room and it feels like there is no wall in between, especially during the nights. You can hear Karaoke night downstairs. The facilities are actually very obsolete and private bathroom is tiny. The property actually cancelled one of my two bookings by mistake or due to negligence. It ended up with no room to stay when we arrived. Fortunately the manager had managed to arrange another room for us after a long waiting at the lobby (We had a kid and 70+ years old elderly people). Not worth for money.
