Convenience to the Interstate and the free drink. At least it kind of made up for the sketchy parking garage with no valet.
This is not a 4* hotel. There was no switch plate on the light switch. There was no bottled water or anything in the minibar. The location doesn’t seem all that safe for a single traveler. Bring your own toiletries, beoyoi might get one shower
The building is cylindrical, making all the rooms wedge shaped and spacious.
The lobby and front entrance were on the opposite side from the parking garage, making check-in confusing for a lone traveler who's carrying a ton of stuff and exhausted to find their way around. The elevators' electronic floor selection touchpad system is confusing, at first. The shower is terrible, with a low-pressure "rainfall" stream that made it difficult to wash the shampoo from my hair. The bed was half firm and half soft; neither was very comfortable. The frame was so flimsy that, when I shifted, I felt like it was going to collapse. I'm heavy, 200lbs, but that shouldn't be enough to nearly break a mattress and frame! Also, the location next to the highway is very loud and earplugs couldnt drown out the sound fully (I was on the 14th floor).
The location, breakfast. And the dinner we had in the restaurant was delicious.
Queen beds were smaller than usual. When I asked about parking, I was told it was free, but got charged extra $15 for overnight parking. Thought that was sly. Exhaust vent in toilet was not working.
Easy parking in downtown. Friendly check-in process.
Upon arrival the A/C was not working, room was extremely warm. Dust from renovations still on window ledge. Round shaped hotel yielded awkward shaped rooms. Breakfast was far below acceptable: coffee was cold and then when acknowledged by hostess, returned with another pot of cold coffee! Buffet breakfast: butter, cream cheese and fruit left uncovered our whole breakfast, flies sitting on these items.
The greeting from the front staff member
I asked for regular coffee (k-cups) and all I got was decaf and all our k-cups in our room were decaf.
