Had splendid meal in restaurant on first evening. Service was good and I didn't wait long from ordering until the meal arrived.
Comfortable beds. Warm in temperature Central location
The parking fees as the ground does not belong to the hotel. Wasnt aware of this. Staff were ok not as accommodating as I am used to.
Very good English breakfast, perfectly clean room and bathroom, perfect location, 5min walk to center
Nothing to complain
The receptionist was very pleasant and took our luggage because we arrived early and our room wasn't ready. We had lunch there and it was very tasty. The breakfast was very good and evening dinner was excellent. Our room was very comfortable and included tea/coffee making facilities.
The fact that there isn't a lift is a drawback. We had to climb one flight of stairs, go along a corridor and then descend a separate flight of stairs to get to our room. I know our room was in a new extension, but I think they should have tried to incorporate a lift during the build.
Not a bad hotel, rooms a bit dated. The bed was OK but it dipped a bit in the middle.
The Bard of Avon himself might have written a sonnet for the Best Western Grosvenor Hotel. Situated in the center Stratford-upon-Avon, the town of Shakespeare’s birth, this Grade II listed building is certainly as you like it. Just three minutes away from the local shops and amenities, yet still a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you’re looking for a hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Best Western Grosvenor Hotel is a real home away from home. Individually styled bedrooms combine with comfortable lounge areas for a totally relaxing ambience. And just to add to the feeling of gentility, our pastry chef serves up homemade delights and delicious afternoon teas. It’s a genuine taste of traditional England. The Best Western Grosvenor Hotel is also a fantastic place to celebrate a wedding or hold a business event, we have extensive facilities to accommodate both. The Warwickshire town itself pays full tribute to its most famous son. At the renowned Royal Shakespeare Theatre, some of the finest actors and actresses take to the stage to perform the most celebrated plays in the world. Many of the places he would have known are still in existence, including the house where he was born and grew up, which you can visit. But it’s not just about Shakespeare, there’s also some beautiful countryside nearby, as well as the equally historic Warwick Castle. Whether you’re here on a family getaway or a short break, you’ll be inspired by the Best Western Grosvenor Hotel.
