Food has gone down hill rapidly omelette was under cooked at breakfast and pizza was burnt in the evening and took an hour to come out.
Food beds staff
Very very slow service asked for cream tea told we have to order 24 hrs or the day before which we thought was completely out of order it did not say this on the menu.We decided to have a pot of tea with cakes the tea came up very quickly after waiting 15 mins we asked a d got them in five mins with more tea
The bed was extremely comfy and big.
Great location for ponds forge, city centre & tram to Meadowhall shopping. Gym was good. Breakfast is excellent. Staff are helpful & friendly.
Evening meal wasn’t great, wine was very expensive and not very good. I had a steak pie & mash (cooked from frozen) it was served with I think lettuce leaf - where was the veg? I paid the same at Rick Steins in Padstow for a fresh pie with lashings of mash gravy & veg. The staff were very nice.
We were given a disabled room which wasn’t comfortable for the family and we were welcome with spider webs upon entering the room. No water or fridge in the room as well. I don’t know how they were called 5*.
