The hotel location is at a quiet avenue while a metro station and a shopping mall (Starbucks Reserve Roastery) are just one block away. The front desk staff are really helpful. The lady helped labelling feature locations on the city map and recommended us a very useful local navigation app. The room is clean and tidy. The city view from the room is amazing. The bed is comfortable. The location and the hotel service worth the price tag comparing to other hotels around the same area.

Despite the sufficient cleanliness in the suite, there are some wear and tear on the furnitures and the decorations. Some of the light switches and water taps are loose. The electric curtains in the bathroom looks fragile yet working perfectly fine. Hair dryer is weak especially for people with long hair.

Tv signals are terrible and should be fixed

Staff at the reception has been very friendly and helpful - stuff at breakfast seemed a little bit stressed but also friendly - I was staying twice a week there and I always would like to come back and I strongly can recommend the hotel - clean, friendly .... just cosy ... not to big .... ideal to relax after a long day.

The rooms were amazing. Also, shout out to Janice the manager at the hotel restaurant. She made our first day there great because we got the breakfast timing wrong (we were an hour late) but she got the chef to whip something super delicious for us.

Nothing bad at all, except maybe the fact that the location on the google maps link from the booking.com api is a bit off.

Good location with easy access to eateries, minimart and MRT. Service staff is polite and genuinely friendly. We booked 3 2 -bedroom apartments and it comes with all the facilities of a self serviced apartment. Breakfast variety is not wide but quality of food very good. Would be great if laundry powder is provided as there is washer/dryer in the room.

Beds and pillows are rather hard so we didn’t find them that comfortable.

Emma, who serves the guests breakfast is amazing! She remembers the name of the guests and she chated with each one regards their daily orders. She takes care everything at the same moment and she is the champion of multi-tasking! The other staffs who are taking care of breakfast are also nice and tried their best to make you a good day. The hardware of the hotel is no more new, but the house keeping team could make you always feel entering a new apartment every day. The general manager is also very polite and gentle, high professional and makes you feel always special treated as VIP. I like this hotel very much!

The furnitures are old.

A stylish, comfortable and modern hotel. We had an Art Deco studio with kitchenette and sitting area. View of skyscrapers and elevated road, the city lights quite scenic at night although nothing special but enjoyed from a nice window seat. Swish bathroom including fabulous wet room although slightly small vanity area. (My second stay was upgraded to the next kind of room, and the bathroom there was more spacious, as was the sitting area.) Very helpful staff, looked after train tickets delivered before our arrival. Great area close to People's Park and Nanjing Roads (so you can walk to places - perfectly possible to walk to the Bund if you're not in a hurry - or hop onto the Metro), yet amongst the modern office blocks and fancy car showrooms there are low-rise streets that are quite ordinary - fruit and veg shops, local restaurants where you can get by using pictures and translation apps to enjoy wonderful food. Right next to the hotel is a type of Carrefour selling e.g. Quaker's porridge, milk, New Zealand butter, French and American wine, etc etc, if you need a few of these western comforts. I did not use the hotel restaurant at all so have no idea what it was like. I recommend The One and would happily return any time.

Be aware that the hotel takes a substantial deposit, on arrival. On my second stay of 3 nights they took 4,500 RMB, which was about 1500 RMB more than the cost of the room for that time, and I didn't get the balance back for 5 days. Apparently this was because I paid in RMB, if I'd paid in GB Pounds sterling it would have been instant. I find that explanation odd, I was using a Starling bank account which is very geared up to travel and foreign exchange. I felt uneasy leaving China whilst being owed money, but the man at reception gave me his card and his assurance that he would help if anything went wrong. It all worked out fine but it was just as well that I had no cash flow issue.

My wife and I came to Shanghai for a week after our first China visit in April with a tour. Just had to come back for some more of Shanghai. This hotel is in an ideal location. Great rooms (no smoke odor) are kept sparkling by meticulous management and importantly the beds are very comfortable. The staff are delightful and always eager to assist. I can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't try it. Very good value for a 5 star apartment hotel. Will definitely be back.

My family and I have stayed at The One on our annual visits to Shanghai over many years. We have always found the staff unfailingly polite and helpful, and the rooms spotless, spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent.

We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment which was excellent! Great city view and excellent location within walking distance to major attractions. Staff was also very helpful and answered all our questions on finding what we needed. Would stay there again!

Hotel has some wear and tear and in need of repair. Broken tile in bathrooms and paint was peeling in some areas in living room.

The location is very good and very close to the Starbuck Reserve at Nanjing road. Quiet place and very near to MRT. near to shopping district and lot of good food surrounding.

The location is very good. In a walk distance from lines 2, 12 and 13 of metro which it´s important highlight that line 2 is the connection with Pudong Airport. The brekfast is very good as well as the room is very spacious and the bed too comfortable. The staff is always available to help you whatever you need. Special compliments to Mr. Alex and Mr. Mike which helped me a lot getting tickets for Masters 1000 and buy some things for me from taobao.

The gym could be a little better and an international network would be very welcome once the most of the guest come from abroad. Thus we won't need struggling to get access through VPN.

The inhouse breakfast is exorbitantly expensive at around RMB150, albeit the ambience of the restaurant is very good.

Great location - just a few minutes walk from the city center. A suggestion though: have the location listed clearly on didi, shouqi, caocao, etc so that it'd be easier to get taxis. Great staffs at the breakfast and although the selection was somewhat limited, the quality was very great with personalized services. As it was windy and rainy, we could not go out much on the last day and so we asked for a late check-out. The reception staff was very nice and accepted our request right away without any fuss. Thank you.

Facilities are getting old - needs a quite a bit of renovation to keep up the standards of a modern facility. I don't expect non-essential fancy stuffs but more power sockets including usb ports would add more convenience.

This hotel is better than more expensive alternatives in Shanghai for several reasons: The location is very close to a number of metro lines - including the ‘2’ line which goes directly to Pudong airport; The staff all speak very good English; There is a carrefour supermarket directly opposite the hotel; rooms are well equipment and comfortable.

The breakfast could be little bit better and also air-conditioning did not work once you left the room. I was there end of August and after coming back from town the rooms were very hot.

It was advertised having 2 beds ( one sofa bed), however the sofa bed is actually just a sofa and it doesn’t extend to a sofa bed. The study room is sort of a waste for us.

Very nice and kind atmosphere at the lobby. The staff is absolutely professional and well trained. The breakfast was excellent.

The warm welcome upon arrival was really appreciated by us all. The staff was very helpful and efficient in checking us in and making us comfortable, especially when we arrived relatively late in the evening. The apartment was very well-appointed, ample and comfortable. We felt very welcomed by the personnel every time they saw us, and always went out of their way to say a hello and help out. The General Manager (I assume) was always present in the front of house, greeting and talking to guests, which creates a very great impression for both guests and staff. The location of property is ridiculously handy - so close to the hustle and bustle of Nanjing West Road and yet tucked away quietly among the locals. The proximity to the metro is super convenient!

The service was very welcoming. Great room with refrigerator, microwave and heating plate. very good break fast. Nice pool and big gym equipped with new working out machines. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the subway and nanjing shopping street. I really recommend this hotel! They helped us with anything we need and the staying was wonderful.
