10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel room was well laid-out. I specially liked the sitting area overlooking the square. The location was excellent: central but quiet. The reception folks were all pleasant and customer-oriented. Our suitcases were already in our room, unlike in other hotels where they only hold the luggage in an area waiting for us to claim them when we arrive (we did the Camino and availed of luggage transfer).
Cons: I couldn't think of any.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I was told the price would be 100US and it was 100 Euros ... I feel I should be refunded
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous location with great view onto the square and easy walking distance from bars/restaurants.
Cons: Room was a little tired/dated. No tea/coffee facilities or iron in room.

Pros: Great location. Our room had its own sitting room area, minibar ( reasonably priced!)
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location and our room, with a view over the square, was exceptional.
7,5 Good
Pros: Excellent location and very clean room. Beautiful view from our room.
Cons: Our view was amazing, but it was loud until after 1am because of people at outside restaurants and bars. Very expensive hotel restaurant and the room did not include breakfast.

Pros: Setting and food are amazing
Cons: Loved everything
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had three separate rooms in a beautiful old building with amazing views. The location is great if you like to be in a remote place.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular rural location. Characterful buildings and grounds with swimming pool. Pleasant dining experience in the evenings and good breakfasts.
Cons: Our first room wasn't to our liking but we were moved when another room became free.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful house, large bedroom, many communal rooms, felt like a 5* hotel. Very good to be able to sit out in the evening and enjoy a glass of wine.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved being away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The facilities, including our room, were beautiful. This is a lovely family-run business in a very old estate with all the modern conveniences. The staff was very nice and responsive. Be aware, a car is needed to get there, as it is located about 15-20 minutes from Santiago De Compostela. We are birders and loved the entrance road to the property. It was both scenic and there were several “trails” to hike. We found a very nice dirt bike track to the river from the road. The internet in our room was a bit inconsistent, as we had the room that was the furthest away. just above the pool. It worked great inside and outside the main house where reception is located. This was not an issue for us, because we were mostly out exploring. Their breakfast, which was a modest add on, was delightful. Due to their location, it is the only local choice for breakfast. (Be aware it served somewhat late, between 9 - 10:30 am, so if you need an early start, you will have to eat elsewhere.) We enjoyed one delicious prefix dinner, but the many courses were too filling for so late in the evening. We wish we could have ordered tapas or ala carte, so that we were not uncomfortably full before bedtime. Otherwise we had a perfect visit. We highly recommend Casa Grande Do Bachao We would gladly stay there again!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just excellent. We had two wonderful dinners and the place is more like a country house than an hotel
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent and beyond!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Situated 4.5kms along a single track road in 14.000m2 woodland above a fishing river, this place is like a small Parador, only far more personal. It is in an XVIII farmhouse and outbuildings restored to the highest standard. It is managed by the owners and activities such as white water rafting, cycling, guided walks are available. 11kms from Santiago de Compostella heaving with hikers, it is an oasis of peace and tranquility. About 30kms from the beautiful Galician coast.
Cons: Evening meal at 9pm. Too late for oldies! Breakfast at 9am, too late for a prompt start.
7,9 Good
Pros: Incredible and unique location and property. Friendly helpful employees. Good value meals.
Cons: I would not recommend bringing your dog as we did. The hotels dogs run around loose which would be fine if it weren't including a heavy unspayed female who refused to leave our dog alone the entire time. We could not even let him out for a pee without being jumped on. We had politely informed the owners several times but they seemed very flippant about it and did nothing. Dogs mating is a very serious thing that needs to be carried out under supervision. Its a shame to say we spent most of our holiday unable to relax and enjoy the gardens and surrounding areas, having to constantly watch the dogs and try to keep them separate as the owners did not care. Sadly this resulted in an expensive trip to the vets for our dog on our last day due to issues the night before and all our plans for the final day out the window. The owners were fully aware but not so much as an apology or even an enquiry as to whether our dog was ok. A real shame to have had our stay ruined by something that could have been so easily avoided with a little more responsibility and care.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location right in the heart of Santiago.
Cons: The pool was nice but it wasn't what I was expecting.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The Monumento Hotel is ideally located in Santiago, within the old city, a stone throw away from the main Plaza, and the shopping and restaurants'area. Yet, you can reach it by car, and park on the spot, free of charge. The staff is extra helpful, and we have heard them speak English and French fluently. The setting is incredible. in a XVI century monastery, yet, with fully modern rooms, and modern conveniencies, like WiFi, TV, AC, all working at international standards, 100% of the time. There is no doubt we´ll stay there again when we come back to Santiago, as we were short of time to visit some of the monuments, and will recommend it to friends.
Cons: We were not attracted by the restaurant "conventual" menu, and found the bar/cafeteria unattractive. We ended up having all our meals, including breakfasts, and drinks in town. It is a pity as the hotel has ample grounds and could certainly have a very nice open air terrace bar with a local menu...
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Great location. With a pool as well!
Cons: The restaurant and bar facilities were fine but just a bit underused, with a slightly cold atmosphere.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: incredibly quiet in stunning building.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: traditional old-style but with all modern amenities and recently refurnished. great breakfast and fast wifi
Cons: nothing

Pros: Lovely old building with tasteful modern additions - rooms, lounges, public areas were all very relaxing. Excellent breakfast with huge variety and choice. Easy taxi ride into lively centre of Santiago in evening. Reception staff were very helpful.
Cons: Service in snack bar was very slow. Hotel's in a bit of a non-descript area outside centre down a road in the commercial and residential part of town although there's a river and nice setting immediately around hotel.

Pros: Everything!

Pros: Beautiful hotel
Cons: Service at the breakfast
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The entire staff was extremely professional and attentive. The Quinta is incredibly beautiful, a very relaxing environment truly in touch with the surrounding nature. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the common spaces feel very cozy and familiar. I had the opportunity to have both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. There was plenty of variety and the food was always exquisite.
Cons: Nothing.

Cons: N/a
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property. Luxurious rooms and well appointed bathroom. Excellent breakfast

6,3 Good
Pros: Indoor spa is nice.
Cons: Outdoor facilities in very poor condition - e.g. sunbeds, river path. Onsite parking is available but spaces are very difficult to fit into.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Very nice hotel. Cafeteria restaurant was nice for drink and snacks but menu was very limited for an evening meal.
Cons: As an eco hotel, air con was on at a minimum so was too warm in the room. Gardeners started the leaf blower at 8am just below our room which continued solidly for an hour. Staff friendly but did not seem very knowledgeable about local area. Was disappointed as have always had excellent experiences in Relais & Chateaux hotels. The hotel was nice but just not quite up expectations.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The garden is a wonderful place and the staff are very friendly.
Cons: The room was very hot and not A/C. The mattress too soft.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Sandra was the biggest help! I had shipped a bag ahead and needed to get some items to continue my Camino hike. It was late at night and she was so kind and patient and even gave me a bottle of water. She remembered me when I came back a few days later and very helpful with maps in info. Room was single on top floor, beautiful with it's stone wall and very quiet... well except the church chimes.. but when you have a location that close to the Cathedral you're going to hear the bells.
Cons: Nothing, love it all! Great way to end my Camino adventure!
9,6 Excellent

Pros: We had called in at the hotel to visit our daughter and liked what we saw. All the services were excellent and staff in reception, the cafeteria, the dining room and the driver of the bus that took us into the city were helpful, courteous and very importantly smiled and made one feel valued as a guest. The location is also ideal as it is away from the city but with the transport makes exploring the riches of Santiago very easy. We shall certainly visit the hotel again.
Cons: We enjoyed everything !!
4,6 Okay
Cons: NOISE music til 4:30am!! Was kept awake the entire night because of a party downstairs. Banging music til 4:30am!! I was there for work and I was forced to call in sick on the Saturday. I asked the reception to tell them to stop the music and he said it wasn’t his problem and said to tell them myself. I was in bed! I paid a lot of money and I needed my sleep. The hotel refused to offer me any kind of compensation.
10,0 Excellent

Pros: Highly recommended, good value for money, very good services, nice terrace for a drink in the evening.
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and hotel itself
Cons: Excellent hotel with good garden and a free shuttle service to town
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The food was exceptional - we ate both the buffet breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed both immensely. We also spent a lovely afternoon at the pool where there are plenty of sun loungers and spare towels. The views from the pool and gardens are lovely. We had a villa which meant we had lots of space to spread out in and we enjoyed the extra large fridge available in the room. Even though we didn't have a car, we thought the car port under each villa was a great design feature. The hotel have a brilliant shuttle service to Santiago town centre, which makes up for the location being out of town. It is also only 10 minutes drive to the airport.
Cons: Our room had an odd odor when we first arrived - just slightly off light damp carpets or bad drains. We complained to reception and the room was cleaned, but the smell slowly returned during the stay. We also found the rooms very dark, which may be a personal preference in terms of decor.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Superb breakfast: quality food & drinks and spacious breakfastroom with a wide view. We had a 2floors standard double room with private car park at our entrance door, extremely convenient to unload luggage, etc. Room was large both the sitting area (with fridge) as the bedroom. Good bed, large and soft.
Cons: A pity that the shuttle service to the city centre was not available on Sunday’s. However we knew it upfront, so no disappointment for us.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that it was still in the old city but an easy walk to the train station.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel like no question was too much of an ask. The location was handy, close to resturants, bars and the supermarket. Air-con worked well and the room had a fridge
Cons: The bed was too short! I am only 6'1 but my feet dangled over the end of the bed. Also, a minor detail but there were no hooks anywhere in the bathroom to hang clothes or a towel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room, very pretty and clean. Fresh flowers in the room and exposed stone wall. Really central. Friendly staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This was a fantastic stay in Santiago de Compostela for my husband & I at the completion of our 14-day Camino! The hotel is conveniently located in the historical downtown area (near the edge where the business/downtown area begins, but still within the historical streets & a few minutes' walk to the Cathedral & shops/restaurants/museums. It is also conveniently located about 10 min. easy walk to the train station, which we had to take back to Madrid. Located on the 3rd level of the building, there is elevator or stair access from a nice quiet lobby (the rest of the building seemed to be residential apartments?). The reception area of Mapoula is very nicely decorated with warm but modern décor, with a seating area around the reception desk, & then a dining area & kitchen/breakfast buffet area around the corner. Everything was very clean. Included in our stay was the continental breakfast buffet (it would have been well worth the 4€ I think it was listed separately for anyway): there is a selection of pastries & cakes (apple, Santiago/almond?, meats & cheeses, soft boiled eggs, yogurts, cereals, fresh fruit, etc. available at the buffet. They bring you fresh squeezed orange juice & a basket of freshly toasted breads & croissants to your table. The mugs for hot tea & coffee are in a heated carousel. Everything was immaculately clean & service was great. The only very slight negative here was they only put a small amount of fresh fruit out. My husband wanted a banana but the second day noticed someone had taken the last (only?) one (& actually ended up not finishing it!)...to their credit we didn't ask them for more, & perhaps they would have brought more out if we did. Our room was just off the reception area, through an extra door/small entry area, along with another room. The lighting was automatic & bright, which I love (some hotels are so dark & dim). In the room, everything was very modern, yet cozy (love the one stone accent wall). There was air conditioning & recessed ceiling/behind the bed lighting. The bathroom was larger than most we had stayed at throughout our Camino (we stayed in hostals & pensions, not albergues!) & everything was immaculate, comfortably decorated, great water pressure/heat in the shower, lighting overhead as well as the vanity area, etc. (Here the one small negative was their towels, white medium/large bath towels with Mapoula stiched/printed across the bottom in red letters, were a little old. You could see the fraying begin around the edges of the ones we had day 1 & 3 of our stay. Day 2 the towels they gave us were a little newer. Everything was very clean, though.) Our room window had 2 layers of shutters, inside sheer curtains & outside automatic shutters (as are customary in Spain). There were no views since we were close to other buildings, but being on the 3rd level, we could see across the small pedestrian alley to a rooftop & no windows directly across. Also, laundry service was a plus!

Pros: Quality standards of service and professionalism.

Pros: We were very disappointed by a newbie in the reception that tried to deny our stay because he didn’t know that we could stay in the existing beds with our kid. He also tried to surcharge breakfast for our 4 yo boy but our reservation had no breakfast at all. Really, really disappointed with the staff. Since we came from Portugal we also felt a little bit of prejudice by the boy who was in the front desk. The role situation was only solved by a senior employee.

7,1 Good
Pros: The room was cozy and clean, but a bit old-fashioned. Maybe it would need a renovation: all the furniture was quite dated and ruined. Every common places, included the central lounge and the bar, were really curated and sophisticated with sofas and a little fireplace where it seamed to be at home: really nice! Amazing also the inner courtyard with a lot of plants and flowers: an amazing interior garden. The receptionists, really kind and professional, helped us in every single request. Strongly recommend.
