Cons: the room was very old, with a couple of scratches, the carpet didn't fell like a clean one, the beds weren't good too, the water from the sink and shower didn't run out easily . I found hair in my shower wall and they weren't mine..... But the staff were very nice...... they said they were working on it

Cons: The room I was in was close to the elevator and overlooked the reception area and open bar. The live music was good but very loud. The rooms were starting to show a little age and could be maintained or renovated.

The accommodations are huge - it is essentially a complete one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, living room, separate sitting room, huge storage room, bedroom and bath. Lots of counter space and a full desk. Super clean. Highly recommended.

Pros: We make a point of NOT staying in American owned hotel chains when we travel abroad. Casa Roland is a Costa Rican owned property that was the perfect stay the day before our early flight home. The property is large, with beautiful landscaping, a pool, tennis court, MASSIVE rooms and adjacent to a great restaurant. Casa Roland provoded an additional day of true Costa Rican hospitality and will now be our go-to hotel when traveling in and out of SJO.

Peephole on door was backward!?, the room had a glasdoor that doesn't look very secure so we moved a commode to make it impossible to open without effort. Woke up because a party or at least a karaoke till 1:00 a.m. Hard to sleep again. Breakfast was good and the cookers were kind and affable.

Pros: My room was on the fifth floor right next to the gym and the pool which was absolutely perfect for me. I worked out, sat by the pool which is noisy from the traffic but was still nice. Breakfast was AMAZING - definitely recommend adding it to your room rate. I made coffee stronger in my room by using both bags and half the water, and used milk from the breakfast buffet. My coffee was way better than the buffet coffee. The staff was awesome, very helpful, kind and friendly. Shopping is really close by and if you need it, the CIMA hospital is walking distance. Get a taxi for the mall

Cons: I think the room at this time it was not so good because it was at 2º floor. I liked more last time when I was at 5º floor because of the view of the city.

Pros: The staff here are just the best. Liz and Daniel on reception and lovely Andy in the bar took such good care of me on both my stays here. I love Colours Resort so much I'm coming back for a third night next week! For me this is the perfect spot if you're flying into San Jose before exploring elsewhere, the hotel has absolutely everything you could need plus a warm, welcoming and safe atmosphere. Liz especially went above and beyond to help me on these visits, I have been quite a demanding guest with lots of additional questions and last-minute changes of plan and she has graciously accommodated me on every front.

Pros: The staff is super nice and there is self-service free coffee available early in the morning. The patio with the pool is really beautiful. Fairly quiet (if you're not unlucky with other guest chatting in front of your doof at 5:15 am)
Cons: My room was smelly (like sewage smell coming from the pipimg system). The airport transfert cost 25 usd and as they cannot park at the exit you have to wait for them..maybe better take a taxi or sleep at an hotel closer to the airport if you arrive late

Pros: The staff here are just the best. Liz and Daniel on reception and lovely Andy in the bar took such good care of me on both my stays here. I love Colours Resort so much I'm coming back for a third night next week! For me this is the perfect spot if you're flying into San Jose before exploring elsewhere, the hotel has absolutely everything you could need plus a warm, welcoming and safe atmosphere. Liz especially went above and beyond to help me on these visits, I have been quite a demanding guest with lots of additional questions and last-minute changes of plan and she has graciously accommodated me on every front.

Pros: Staff are friendly and it's really beautiful. Close to Tobias Bolanos airport so really convenient for a quick layover.
Cons: No hot water but I think that's fairly standard. Other than that no issues.
