Nice location, less than 10 minutes from the subway, Beautiful parks nearby, multiple cafeterias and stores within reachable distance Room is equipped with everything needed: slippers, fan, hangers, anti-mosquito plug-in. The window has a protective net.
Could have been more light in the room (e.g. around the mirror) The furniture looked a bit too old and used much
The good: 10 min from metro, 25 min from Eremitage, directly at tram, lots of restaurants, cheap, close to the river, the fortress and the bridges, basic room with everything you need if you don´t plan on spending any time there. Wifi is very good, and they got some kind of kitchen facilities. Quiet place, window goes to a backyard.
The bad: Tiny room, not very clean, no fridge, no safe and little storage room. Staff seems a bit brusque (which we realized is nomal in St. Petersburg), the bed is VERY soft and rather small, therefore we did not sleep well.
Good location into the city. The area is very close to St Peters and Pauls Fortress. The surrounding area is very expensive, food etc. Nice park and Cinema, Zoo close to the Hotel. For the normal tourist is a great location. I was not a tourist as I was working in St Peters.
My advice : I was flying from Kazan to St Petersburg checkin time 2pm, I arrived at 8 am. The staff were less than friendly told me to go for a walk until 2pm. Sorry before that getting ripped off by taxi driver charging 3 times the amout from the Airport to the Hotel ...this pick up was arranged by Hotel. Do not pay any more than 500 - 700 Roubles. I know the system and low pay of Russians so expect this. Then I got into my room too small do not go for economy room, you are far better and less cheaper staying in a hostel. The staff at times where a little helpful. I asked to speak to the Manager several times. The recepition area are run by kids, not experienced have zero people skills. I speak Russian, but no way would I book this place again. I left a card on the door for my room to be made 3 days later it happend. The unprofessional staff, room service basic room service was pathetic. You pay for what you get 16,000 was a waste of money. The room was advertised for 12,000 in which I upgraded for economy to a better room. I argued the point with these kids at reception....I don"t know what show they are running, but my advice is stay away. You can find better places in St Petersburg .
