The two owners seemed like old friends from the moment we met Nothing is too much trouble. We came back from eating out to a torrential downpour. The minute we attempted to get out of the car Paul (joint owner) rushed across in the pouring rain with two umbrellas What service indeed!!!
The owners and hosts Paul and Allan were exemplary running this beautiful boutique hotel so wonderfully. We are sure to return and many more times.
Can not think of a thing we did not like.
We had a lovely large suite with a very comfortable bed and sofa. We appreciated the turn down service and the glass of liqueur awaiting us on our return from dinner. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and gave helpful recommendations on places to eat and the breakfast was superb. We were even offered a glass of champagne to celebrate my husband's birthday!
Difficult to find anything to complain about! the water could have been hotter in our bathroom but this was a temporary problem and easily fixed. The external staircase that we were asked to use was a fire escape and was a bit steep for those with mobility issues.
Everything! The hosts Alan and Paul make a visit to their wonderful home such a very special occasion Nothing is too much trouble for them and the finishing touches throughout this magnificent accommodation are second to none. They fully deserve their 5 star rating and I most definitely will be returning to visit them again hopefully very soon
The location was perfect. The owners were amazing, made us feel extremely welcome. The room and house was beautiful. We have been to many hotels/bed and breakfast but this has to be the best. Paul and Alan made us feel so welcome. Saltcote Place made you feel like you were going home. I could not recommend this place enough, you have to go to experience it. Will definitely return.
