Awesome stay

Anna is an excellent host. Oia is stunning. Regarding the accomodation we stayed in a small studio with balcony, facing the pool, with sea view. Private, comfortable, and complete, with TV, safe, Kitchenette, with coffee machine, cooker, sandwich maker, cutlery, pots , glasses and dishes.Small details as offering amenities, a box with tea and coffee, water in the fridge and even slippers make guests feel very welcomed. The shower was ample. Very nice place.

Lovely stay

The kitchen was fully equipped which was nice as I was able to cook a little as well. Santorini can be awfully expensive otherwise. The room was super clean and larger than I expected. The view to the pool was nice as well and generally it was very quite. The host Anna is very nice and gives great advice. The location is awesome as you are right between the beginning of Oia and a few steps away of Finikia.

The internet was not really stable but I guess that comes with island life.

Anna and her husband who run Maria palace are so friendly and helpful that we never felt home away from home. They guided us with what we can do during our stay there providing all details and support. The place was also clean and maintained well and we had our own privacy. The location was so close to Oia that we could catch sunset and do other things as required. Loved the stay and will want to go back - Archie

It was very nice and great location. 2 mini markets close by like 5 min walk. Center of Oia like 5-6 min walk and then you can have all the great views. its very nice place if you want to be at the center but not that close at the same time. Great swimming pool and clean. There are cats around very cute and calm. Anna was helpful and explained everything very good.

Everything we could have asked...

We stayed 7 nights at Maria's Place and it was everything we could have asked for and more. Upon arrival Anna welcomed us and gave us all the information we needed (she asks about your plans and gives you recommendations). The rooms were very clean, the housekeeper even cleaned the dishes and put the tableware back in the cabinets. The kitchenette has everything you need and more (wine glasses, toaster, kettle, oven). Nice rainfall shower. There's a private parking lot. Every room has a nice balcony which faces the swimming pool. From there you can see the beautiful sunset. Location is great, Oia is at walking distance, supermarket around the corner. If you decide to mainly stay in that area a car is not necessary, however, if you want to see something of the island a car is recommended. There are buses with timetables (Anna has them) but only the times of departure from starting point (not of stops on the way).

We had an ant problem, however after telling Anna she took care of it and didn't see a single one after that! The furniture is a little outdated, but it's not dilapidated. Maria's Place has a great location, however, know that it is a 5-10 minute walk on a quite busy road to Oia (even during Corona). They did make it one way during our stay, which improved the situation. Also know it's on the other side of Oia, not facing the Caldera. Advantage of that is the sunset view!

Warm welcome and cozy stay atMaria’s place. We were the first and only clients this June given the COVID-19 situation but everything was made to make us feel welcome and at ease. We had a very quiet and beautiful stay with an “empty” island to explore . Maria’s place is an easy 10min walk to Oia’s center, there is a supermarket and bus stop just nearby. The apartment was very well equipped and cleanliness was top. We loved our stay and it was a great location to explore the rest of Santorini. Thank you!!

Beautiful property, clean rooms, amazing breakfast spread every morning, the location was perfect for us - short walk into the main shopping area of Oia but just outside the tourist craziness. Anna was the best hostess!! She greeted us every morning and evening, gave us great recommendations for tours & other sightseeing - and "insider" tips we never would have known about! She really made our stay at Maria's Place that much better, would highly recommend!

Would have maybe liked a daily water bottle in the room automatically, had to ask or buy it out but really not a big deal compared to how many other great amenities this hotel had

From the friendly welcome when we arrived to our hug goodbye Maria’s Place was everything we could have hoped for and more. Beautifully clean apartment, well equipped including Nespresso coffee machine with capsules etc which were replenished every day. Towels changed daily, just ask for towels to use at pool. Good location easy walking distance into Oia and surrounding area. Big thank you to all staff especially Anna.

Maria’s is quietly located on the edge of bustling Oia, making it a perfect spot to ramble through the pedestrian/tourist area or up the hiking trail. Anna is very friendly and helpful. She gave us great food and sunset spot recommendations.

Own key access The view of the sea & pool. The space inside, the comfortable bed. Coffee, microwave & kettle facilities. Lovely breakfast spread for 10e. Anna was always on hand to help with any queries and gave us great advise about where to go, what to see and where to eat, always happy and cheerful in the morning and worked hard for everyone staying there. She also remembered my birthday and greeted me with a lovely hug! Made me feel special

Maria's Place is located within close walking distance to Oia. In many ways, it was a Plus NOT being in Oia itself. It's an easy walk into Oia, with plenty to look at. The local supermarket is close. The bus stop is close. After spending time in Oia fighting the crowds (and my stay was outside peak times), it was an oasis to be able to come home to Maria's Place and just be able to relax and breathe. Rooms large and the bed is gloriously comfortable. Great balcony. Cooking facilities - plus toaster, sandwich maker/toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge all ready for use. The shower is huge, and great water pressure. The pool and surrounding area is wonderful. Pool is large enough to actually use, even with a few people in it together. The views from the rooms and the pool area is over small villages and to the opposite coast to the volcano. This was restful. Sunset skies magnificent - makes a change from cramming into the vantage points in Oia. Breakfast can be provided by Maria's Place if you wish. Anna at reception is lovely & helpful with recommendations for anything you'd like to do. If I return to Oia, I will definitely re-book at Maria's Place.

The pool was a pleasant relief after a days travelling. The hostess was very obliging helping us with a tour arrangements and directions. Room had everything for a comfortable stay and the breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Close to sights of Oia and bus stop. A very enjoyable stay.

Maria was above and beyond nice with all of her care, attention, and recommendations. The place was in a great location, only a few minutes walk to all the main sites, but in a bit of a quieter area away from the crowds. The bed was also very comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

Only negative is they the pool closes at 7pm. Would have been nice to take a dip in the pool after a long day out and about!

Location was superb, 5-10 minute walk to the centre. Good size and very clean pool. All linen in studio was freshly clean, studio itself was impeccable. Staff very friendly and helpful

The view is of the far side of oia, not the famous oia caldera.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, the pool is small, but the water is clean and refreshing. The place is close to Oia's attractions, but not right in middle of that touristic madness. We didn't have breakfast there because 3 minutes away is a nice restaurant with a great view over the caldera and good breakfast (Mes Amis). Even though we had breakfast elsewhere, we had an espresso machine in the room, which was a bless. The host (Anna) was really helpful, she gave us useful tips&tricks. Also, for cat lovers: they have cute kittens in the yard :)

We had a suite with sea view, but the view wasn't what we expected (it's more a field view than a sea view :). The terrace was shared with the neighbors from the other suite.

Anna greeted us upon our arrival and immediately made us feel at home. She went beyond our expectations booking us a car and sunset cruise. The cruise she recommended on the Triton surpassed our expectations for the wonderful meal and great crew. Anna prepared a fantastic Selection of breakfast treats every morning. I cannot say enough about Maria’s Place and Anna. Rooms were cleaned and always maintained by their friendly cleaning staff. 10 out of 10.

Location is great, only a short walk to Oia and the view the whole way is lovely. Close to amazing restaurants in Finikia - I 100% recommend Lefkes, it's incredible. Breakfast at Maria's Place was made fresh and absolutely delicious (cheese pies, scrambled eggs, pancakes, pastries, fruit, homemade jams - it's all lovely), the view is great, the rooms are big and very clean. Modern showers and comfortable beds. You really can't go wrong here. If you're trying to do Santorini on a smaller budget, I don't think you can do better than Maria's Place.

Wifi is very slow or non-existent and that was a big problem for me. I would definitely recommend improving this.

We had a wonderful stay here! The hostess Anna was so friendly and helpful. The location and facilities are excellent. Rooms were spotlessly clean and attended to each day. Beautiful gardens surrounding the rooms and a lovely pool to relax by. Great value.

Location was perfect, less than 10min walk to the Main Street in oia. Pool was very peaceful and relaxing. Staff really helpful and gave good recommendations for restaurants and things to do on the island.

Anna was lovely, very friendly and helpful. Arranged a tour for us and also a taxi as we had an early morning flight. We had a view of the sunset from our balcony which was amazing. The accomadation was perfect.

Beautiful sunsets, perfect location on the quieter side of Oia, great pool area, extremely clean and comfortable rooms with coffee-making facilities and free coffee, delicious breakfast with lots of variety, a resident family of cats and kittens, and last but not least our charming, generous and helpful hostess Anna with her family

The place was really well located and we received good service. The staff was great! The room was clean and the pool was perfect since it was super warm in santorini in July. We ended our afternoon relaxing by the pool.

I recommended that the pool close later. It was closing at 7:30 pm, but it would of been nice if it would be open until 9:30. Specially when you come back from an early super and you want to relax at the pool and wash the beautiful sunset from your place.

The deco is austere but satisfies all esthetics. The location is dreamy, and it may sound discriminative, but loved that is only for adults. It allowed me relaxing in the pool and have a lot of peace. Mrs Anna is as warm as efficient and will promptly solve any inconvenient. She also gives sound advice on tours which fare well when compared with some offers on the internet and excellent service.

Great location near enough main attractions but still quiet and peaceful location. Anne was wonderful and helped us with planning activities during our visit. Very friendly and always making sure we were enjoying our stay. Breakfast was delicious! Missing the dolma very much! Can’t recommend this place enough! We look forward to our next visit :)

Cute little hotel in Oia southern area. The rooms were very roomy, very comfortable and clean. Dramatic ocean and pool views too. The pool is beautiful with nice lounge area and sea views. You can walk to Santorini Oia main drag in 15 minutes. Terrific breakfast is offered with local fruit, cheeses, yogurt, pastry and eggs. Quite nice. The desk person is very friendly and helpful on giving maps and tips about the island’s sights, traffic and ferry /taxi options. We had a great stay.

It’s a bit of a walk to key Oia tourist area but we liked the quiet. The room smelled of strong disinfectant when we arrived. Suggest a more subtle green cleaner.

Completely met our every need.

Amazing spot just outside the busyness of Oia! Brilliantly clean and modern apartment with all that we needed. Anna was lovely and helped us out at every opportunity (thankyou!). Watching the sunset from the balcony, swimming/laying around pool with views over the ocean, coffee machine, really comfy bed, spacious and everything you need for a few days. We loved it!

Everything was just perfect!

Great place, peaceful and right outside Oia. Everybody is very helpful and I strongly suggest it!

Anna was really helpful and friendly as were the lovely ladies who cleaned our room. I loved the extra little touches in the room such as the air conditioning included in the cost of the room, the Nespresso machine and daily coffee supply, toiletries and slippers. I would definitely go back and stay again.

Due to the popularity of the accommodation, a late check out was not an option but our cases were stored in full sight of Anna. If I could ask for one extra facility it would be a shower/changing room for guests who had late flights.

Anna was a welcoming host, such a lovely lady. Communication right from time of booking was excellent, answered any emails in super quick time. We arrived by ferry from another island, it is a super busy port, with many travellers trying to find their way around. Anna offered a pickup but we had decided to take the bus from the Port to Fira, then change to another bus to Oia. This did work fine but getting onto the bus was a real scramble. On arrival Anna gave us maps and lots of guidance on best way to enjoy Oia which is a 10 minute (flat) walk right into the centre promenade. She was always available to offer advice or just to chat. Maria's Place is a peaceful place to relax and get away from the crowds in the main town. Excellent shower, soft towels, comfortable bed and good sized room. Breakfast option is really good value and always something freshly baked by Anna, her home-made jams are really good. No hesitation in recommending.

Really nice comfortable studio apartment with all the necessities. Excellent location as it’s close to the hustle and bustle of Oia but far enough away that’s its peaceful at night. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Pool closes quite early, 7.30 pm but not sure if this is standard in Santorini.

Authentic Greek Villas perfectly located close to Oia but away from the craziness of the centre. Staff were very friendly with plenty of very good recommendations that you wouldn’t get from tourist books.

Our host Anna, was just fantastic in helping us with information. And very warm in welcoming us at the end of each day!

Hi Anna was extremely hospitable and the breakfasts were delicious with home baked croissants etc. and fresh fruit, yoghurt and delicious homemade cake and bread.

Great size kidney pool. Ana was amazing and helpful making the stay extra great. Nice and quiet just outside the hustle and bustle of Oía. It is about 5-10 minute walk to main part of Oía. Mostly flat all the way to town. Great that the place was adult only.

Anna is an excellent, friendly and very helpful host. The Location ist perfect, with a very nice and open view to the aegean sea. We received very good information of what to do and where to go. After noticing my birthday Anna had a very nice surprise waiting for us on our table after our return in the late evening. We were very pleased. The location of Maria's Place in Foinikia / Oía is very near from the starting point of the beautiful trekking-trail from Oía to Fira and a got starting point to start your expeditions through Oía and its surroundings.

Ana the main person was so lovely and friendly. We will come and stay again. Beautiful place. Love the kitchen in the room. Great facilities, nice view. Shower was good, bed comfy. Don’t have anything negative to stay. Really enjoyed our time here. Even had a nepresso machine in the room. Nice touch.

Anna was so helpful; gave us directions to hot spots, printed boarding passes and organised transport to the airport. It was a delightful stay in Santorini!

The place is accessible by car, it’s 5-15 mins walk to the Oia Main Street and main sightseeing points. I prefer to stay here rather than the main hotel area as you don’t have to move your luggage in the narrow streets. We came midnight and the staff arranged airport transfer and waited for us at the hotel. The room is clean and the experience is awesome. We always woke up late so didn’t try the breakfast.

I usually don't write many reviews, but this time I wanna say that I loved the place! Anna is an amazing person! She is very welcoming and gives very useful tips to make you enjoy Santorini. The place is awsome too! Long story short, this is a greatly recommended place. I would love to come back!

Ocean view rather than pool view

This should be called Anna's place as she was the host who greeted us and was on site the whole time to make sure everything was perfect and we are well informed and happy. Anna's infectious and helpful personality really enhanced our visit. She had great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The apt was lovely and well appointed. The buffet breakfast at 10 euros a day was great. It had a lot of variety and was convenient. We loved the pool and lounge area. The location was a short walk into the bustle of Oia but was quiet and peaceful. Private parking was a huge bonus.

The bed was a little hard for me (my husband thought it was great). I like a really soft bed so please know there was nothing wrong with it. I doubled up a comforter under the sheet and it was fine.

The owner Anna is a lovely and friendly person and will help you with anything. Either where to eat or where to swim or where to shop. The room was imaculant and serviced every day. The location is perfect and very quiet.

Anna Was extremely helpful on check-in, and continued to check up on us throughout our stay to make sure all was well. She also gave us some great recommendations which made our stay all the more enjoyable.

The location was quite exposed to wind - but I think you will experience this in most places on the island at some point! It would have been nice to have an indoor seating area to eat at, when the weather was poor.

Anna was extremely helpful. When the weather stopped the ferries from running, she warned us even before we were scheduled to leave Crete to come to her place on Santorini.

Really warm welcome from Anna, and the apartment complex location, overlooking the sea, was superb. A short walk into beautiful Oia was a real bonus too. Some lovely bars/restaurants but really liked Nocturna and Animemilos. Wonderful staff and delicious food. Can’t recommend Maria’s Place apartment complex highly enough! Loved it...

Santorini prices are high for drinks in particular.
