A very poor breakfast, instant coffee.. A rather noisy place, you can hear people talking outside asa well as inside with your door closed..
The hotel was walking distance to all the sights and plenty of restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable.
The room was quite big than I expected. The hotel was very close to the river side so you can go there and walk on foot. Breakfast was included though variation is quite limited and of course really Russian style. WIFI also worked fine.
If this is your first time in Nizhny Novgorod, then you have to check how to reach to this river side hotel. There are trams, buses and maybe you could take taxi as well. It was bit far from other side of Kremlin but you can still walk. I was not satisfied with shower room as after I took shower, water was on the floor everywhere and I have no ideas what was going on. If you use shared bathroom, just be careful.
Located just outside the fortified Kremlin and one block from Volga River embankment, Iris Hotel offers neatly furnished rooms with free Wi-Fi and satellite flat-screen TVs in historic Nizhny Novgorod. All heated rooms are carpeted and equipped with fan and electric kettle. Guests can use either shared or private bathroom facilities. Windows open out onto a quiet pedestrian street. Each morning a breakfast is served in the hotel’s dining room. The completely non-smoking Iris Hotel has a 24-hour reception desk offering luggage storage possibility and ironing and shuttle services are available on request. Hotel Iris is within walking range of many historical highlights, such as John the Baptist and Christmas Churches and the Minin and Pozharsky Monument. The River Station ferryboat jetty is just 500 metres away.
