The pillows will nice
The smell was chemically in the room, and there was no extra toiletries, so we ran out of toilet paper. When we tried to call down for more, the phone didn’t work so we had to walk down and wait a while in line for the only front desk attendant to be free. Just for more toilet paper.
Decent hotel for travel to Manhattan. Overall good experience.
The room could have been a more upto date. The shower could definitely use some help.
Strong water pressure in shower is the only thing that was good !
Where do I start ?! Was in ny for 2 weeks with my kids visiting my brother and had stayed in different hotels and locations which were 3 star then for final 3 nights I treated us to the doubletree and being a 4 star hotel we were expecting it to be the nicer of the hotels. We were in for a shock ! This was by far the worst of all of them ! No way should this be 4 star !! Check in and out staff were miserable and blunt. The hard sell of the Hilton honours was ridiculous!! I was so exhausted from travel I didn’t really understand what the woman was going on about ! As if I would sit through a presentation with 2 kids, one who has adhd!! Got handed free cookies which contain nuts !! Myself and my son have severe nut allergies so they had to go in bin, would have thought in this day and age freebies like that would be nut free ?! Room was dark and small. Bathroom was ridiculously tiny ! There were 3 used tissues on the floor down the side of the bed and dirt on the floor, not sure what it was ?! Carpet leading to bathroom was torn and I tripped on it twice. Bath was covered in rust. Bathroom door worn and tatty.Chair was worn and ripped. Paper cups ?!?! And horrible sachets of coffee. Beds were meant to be doubles but were more like large singles and I had to share one with my son. Got charged ten dollars to store luggage!! Me and my kids very disappointed and would never stay here again or recommend it to anybody. My brother was embarrassed that a 4 star hotel in Manhattan could be so bad and he will never recommend this hotel to any of his business clients. My kids had enjoyed their first trip to the states but our last 3 nights were ruined by this hideous hotel.
I was not able to receive my gift or 1000 Hilton points as every time I went to obtain it either no one at the desk or a line of guests asking for directions, maps etc....
Nice location easy to move around (metro just at the hotel corner)
Staff not as attentive at check in
