It was across the street from the car repair shop. My car broke down on my way to New York.
As walkers, the hill was so steep. As soon as you walk in the room, a sour order hit us. The beds were poorly made, an eye sore. The refrigerator was not working and also dirty. The television had no volume. The staff was called about the television by my friend, and when staff came to the room, he scolded me for having an outside person call. I told him I wasn’t feeling well. I drove 11 hours, my car broke down, I had to walk up that hill. I was hungry. Also, this staff person smelled awful! Like old food on an unbathed body. I had to air out the room after he left. His odor made me nauseous! This is the worse experience I’ve ever had in a motel!
The smell of stale cigarettes in the room was really bad. When I rang to ask for another room the staff member declined as we’d booked a smoking room and was quite rude about it. On checking our booking, for some reason we had booked a smoking room by mistake - not ideal for an asthmatic and our clothes carried the smell the next day. We only stayed one night thank goodness. We didn’t use coffee/tea facilities due to the smell, the fridge wasn’t turned on & there was a tv but we didn’t use it as we just slept and moved on ASAP.
The location was placed in an area that was not too crowded, but still had options for food and activities. The staff were very friendly and helped me with all my needs. I loved the floors in the room; they were the gray hardwood floors and it made the room feel nice. Carpet can be nasty and hold bed bugs so I am glad hotels are switching to hardwood floors.
The fridge in my room was not working. I was only staying a night so this was not a huge issue. Notified staff at checkout. I'm not positive, but I do not think the pool was open and that would have been a nice bonus.
I had to move rooms because the AC wasnt putting out enough cold air.
