Nice Service, good bed
No soap for the hands
Staff here excellent. Fun location. Breakfast great.
Due to the corona virus the local museums and buildings were closed.
The location is quite close to the university and the botanic garden. Breakfast was great. Our shared bathroom was brand new. The owner is in the process of upgrading several of the rooms with private bathrooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The value for such a low price was outstanding.
It was a little hard to find. The guest house is on a narrow street surrounded by alleys and passageways. We arrived on foot. Arriving by car would be very challenging. It's worth the effort though.
The communication with the host was awful. I had at shower only boiling water.i informed her about it and she sent a boy to check. After 5 minutes he told me he didn't know what was the problem and recommended me that i should take the shower upstairs. When i talked with the host she told me that the boy told her that everything was ok. She told me harshly and categorically that using the upperfloor bath is totally forbidden. Then i told her i want to take a shower and she responded i should wait for half an hour until someone, who lives in fact just at 5 meters in front of the building, will come and fix it. After 50 minutes another boy of the lady came and checked for 10 minutes giving calls to finally solve the problem which was a small button that has to be pressed and then adjust. I went on a trip next day and i asked the host if i can grab something at 7 o clock before going. She responded categorically that kitchen is closed until 8.30 am and that nothing can be done. Next day i asked where is the kitchen and before telling her i want to serve breakfast she wrote me why i need the kitchen and the entrance in the kitchen is totally forbidden. In fact i meant where the food can be served but she was very tough. Room was old and rusty, heating went very badly not being able even after hours to heat the room. In the bathroom the shower door obliges you to stick to the cold wall otherwise you cannot open it and is very cold inside.not any heating and window always opened.acces to the location is difficult as it rained and it is located on top of the hill with cobbled road.Being an old house everything is screaching. All in all, a bad experience, rating it with 6 just for the breakfast, compared to the guesthouse i stayed in Aveiro that i paid the same price and it was impecable (i rated it 10).
Very good position on the hill to visit the university, very friendly staff, good breakfast
Shower Curtain was in our room, parking for money good availabe but free is very overcrowded
