7,5 Good
Pros: great duplex room - a nice surprise. also enjoyed the biscuits which are often lacking in hotel rooms now.
Cons: the bar service was a bit poor. we waited for a while to get served, not because it was busy, because there was no-one there to serve. I had to go looking for someone.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else.
Cons: The front door being locked at night.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We shall definitely stay at The Leopold again. The bedroom was very comfortable and both bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean, perfect staff and a first class breakfast. A lovely hotel.
Cons: Parking arrangements.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great for a show at the City Hall (literally around the corner). Short taxi journey to the train station, or a nice walk. Spacious room and hotel in general. Good facilities in room. Room service (food late afternoon) was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. When it was raining, Reception staff offered us a loan of an umbrella without us having to ask.
Cons: Breakfast order (room service) was wrong and not what ordered. Still tasted nice though!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, right in the middle of Sheffield. However this means that the Parking that point you to is a 5 min walk away. Not that far - unless it's raining as it was when I arrived. This was not clear to me when I booked. Staff were very friendly.
Cons: The hotel was perhaps lacking a little maintenance in places, only some of the buttons on the lift worked. The threshold of the lift car was patched up with tape. The toilet didn't flush properly in my room, unless i pushed very very hard and held the button in. Small points i know but these things do matter. I found all the staff friendly but the staff at breakfast appeared a little lost.

Pros: Excellent location clean and very helpful staff
Cons: None
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, clean and great restaurant food, particularly the evening meal.
Cons: Wi-Fi not the best in parts of the hotel.
6,0 Good
Pros: Breakfast very good. Building and location had character and promised much. Grounds fed by private driveway leading to spacious carpark. Evening meal appeared to be ok at first .... but
Cons: Location of hotel means you are obliged to eat in the restaurant. Menu seems OK, with an apparent set cost (1,2 or 3 courses) but a lot of supplementary costs. Menu open to interpretation about what you get with your main meal - I got it wrong. Therefore what I got was poor value for money. Double bed made of two single mattresses. This was a blessing, becasue my preferreed side had collapsed, so slept on the other side. WiFi and mobile phone signal reception very flakey. Room cold (despite electric panel heater on full).
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Big room, comfortable bed, big tv, lovely bathroom
Cons: Food was a little overpriced, but the quality was good.
9,6 Excellent
Cons: Lovely place, great staff

8,3 Excellent
Pros: The bed was lovely & comfy, the staff on arrival were friendly & welcoming
Cons: The windows were left open in our room when we arrived & although we closed them the room was freezing cold, we couldn't get warm all night, the bathroom radiator did come on in the morning but if I ever stayed here again I'd definitely take extra layers.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The old part of the property was lovely english heritage stunning
Cons: Nothing was a lovely place to visit
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Liked the scenery and area. Staff were very friendly. Nice building and rooms.
Cons: I requested a bottle of Prosecco to be in the room on arrival. This was there but I had an email from yourselves stating this was done at no extra charge. Whilst I was happy to pay was surprised on checkout to find this was on the bill. Bit misleading from either yourselves or Whitley hall. Also above the unit in the room(5) where the TV was incredibly dusty with several used ear buds. Can provide photos but don’t want to attach them here in case they automatically go online as wouldn’t want to affect the reputation of the hotel.
5,0 Okay
Cons: I booked a double room for me and my partner and got a 3 quarter size bed for the both of us, we got in about half 7 that evening as was at a wedding, we got changed and walked around the grounds it was dark out and as walking my partner fell down a hole in the ground which went up to his knees, we went inside and explained to reception, my partner explained and went and showed him the hole, we looked again in the morning and was still open and anyone could fall through it
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about it was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, the location stunning. Would definitely go again
Cons: A wedding party that that had no respect for the surroundings or staff, or other hotel guests

Pros: Price. Room comfortable
Cons: Staff not helpful at all. When we arrived and asked for early check in, which we had requested on line, I was told no rooms were ready. We were not asked if we wanted to leave our bags we had Asked for lower floor we were given room on 6th floor said we could wait for a lower floor to become available but since we had waited one hour and half for a room to be ready and told lower floor would be ready after 3pm which is not acceptable we walked up 6 flights of stairs. We were there for one day only with arrangements made to meet people which all had to be rearranged. Not a pleasant stay at all . Very poor customer service. Obviously won’t ever use hotel again. Or recommend it.

Pros: The breakfast on both days was really good offering everything one would need to start off the day. We stayed in the room 415 located in the potting shed which was spacious comfortable and clean. My partner had three spa treatments which she considered slightly expensive but very relaxing.
Cons: We arrived on a very cold and wet afternoon and soon realised that the heating in the room was not working. We called reception and a young female member of staff arrived to try and fix the problem by trying everything I had done before calling reception. Unable to get the heater working she informed us a male member of staff would be along shortly. When he eventually arrived he informed us he would take a closer look because he new more about these problems. Having checked everything I had previously done he informed us he could not get it working which was pretty obvious because we were watching him. I told him in my opinion the fuse had blown in the mains switch to which his reply was we can't do anything about that the maintenance man is on holiday. We eventually got a portable heater delivered to our room. We had reserved a table for dinner which was a costly mistake. for starters we chose couscous with beetroot tomato and other salad items it turned out to be about 2 desert spoons full in all for a cost of £4. The ciabatta was a thin slice of bread about 1 cm thick and about 2 cms high with balsamic vinegar.which I never found and small salad items £6.95. For her main course my partner chose the stuffed tomatoes which when it arrived consisted of 2 medium and 4 small tomatoes top with a thimble full of cheese crumbs and odd bits of salad cost £`13.95. My chicken breast although tasty must have come from the smallest chicken in Derbyshire. It was served with a piece of potato about 5x3x1 cm plus pak choi. £14.95 I also ordered seasonal vegetables at a cost of £1.95 which then turned out to be three carrots cut in half length ways. Having complained about the quality of the meal a member of staff apologised and has a good will gesture deducted the cost of the carrots !!!!! Needless to say we cancelled our table for the following night and went into Chesterfield and had a fantastic meal at a well know restaurant for half the cost of the previous night.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Good Location, breakfast and staff
Cons: The first room given to us wasn’t clean and was so cold, the second room was noisy as it was next door to their office, and also with an uncomfortable bed.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: The room was nice even though I was given a smaller room compared to my friends
Cons: Staff are rude and unwelcoming. We were shocked by this on numerous occasions
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, very good restaurant. Clean, comfortable and good sized rooms coupled with extensive and well kept grounds. Only a couple of miles to the M1 - easy access.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The lovely house and our bedroom which was very comfortable and spacious
Cons: We didn’t like our experience in the dining room for dinner. We sat down at our table and it took a long time for anyone to take our order. After some time we were told they had to wait for each table to be served ?! The soup was not hot but good. My starter was not nice and ridiculously small.. It was a crab dish and absolutely minute with 2 baby tomatoes cut in half. The presentation was awful. The plates were not attractive. were not attractive. My steamed fish with plaice tasted okayish but when it was put in front of me my appetite disappeared! The fish was white (obviously) and the risotto creamy coloured. It was so plain no greenery. I know risotto is served on its own but oh dear. It was the meal was over priced and disappointing. The breakfast was excellent and the service.

8,0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing not to like
4,2 Okay
Pros: The landlord was very helpful
Cons: I didn’t like the fact it was rated 4stars and it was nothing like a 4star hotel they did serve food in the evenings the decor and carpets was dirty and outdated it also needs to have a good deep clean you smell damp as soon as you walk in. The tv was really small and for a 4star hotel you would expect at least a 30inch tv. There was no hearing upset for a plug in oil heater and I think at £85 for 2 nights was way to much especially when you could go to a holiday inn and get better value for money which il be doing next time.

5,8 Okay
Cons: The shower overflowed very quickly due to a drain blockage somewhere. I had to abandon my shower after just a quick wash and rinse of my hair. The overflow meant the bathroom floor was partly flooded round the toilet. I stayed in room 409.
