Best Western Hôtel Gare Saint Jean

This hotel is close to the train station so also has local train,tram and bus stops too. This means the older city and surrounds are very convenient to get to. A great location. This hotel and the staff just go that bit further to make your stay pleasurable. A shoe cleaning machine, a board with the days weather forecast, an offer of coffee if needed, newspapers including the english language NY Times. We were given early access to our room which we much appreciated. Staff also sell you the one day, two or three day passes for the trams. There are numerous eating options close by. Some open 24 hours.

Staff, cleanliness and facilities. Close to railroad station. Close to tram.

Not most atmospheric hotel. Not in best area to understand and appreciate beauty of Bordeaux.

Hard to expand on the previous reviews. Close to the gare, yet quiet. Close to the tram to go to the center of town, yet far enough away from the center of town so as to be quiet. First class amenities and staff. Would definitely stay here again. Interestingly, the lobby around the breakfast area has encased some of the original stonework of the several hundred year old building that was originally on the site.

Clean and what you’d expect. Location is great and breakfast also good.

Hotel was in an excellent location just 2 minutes walk from the main train and tramway station. The hotel itself was very clean and smart with the staff who spoke excellent English.

Nothing not to like.
