Very friendly, helpful staff. Great location to break the journey for one night when travelling by train. V. good breakfast. Useful brasseries by station for a simple meal.
Even our "superior" room was very small. With the window open, it was noisy at night from the station and people noisily leaving the nearby nightclub in the small hours.

Location-wise it’s perfect - close to Gare St Jean for TGV, buses and trams - also car hire. Friendly, helpful staff who speak French and fairly good English. Clean, comfortable rooms. Plus, free cakes in reception and coffee in rooms.
It’s super close to the station as I’ve mentioned, which is great for day time, but at night, if you want to / need to open the window (I don’t fancy air conditioning) then the noises from train announcements and passers by etc is very noticeable. Also, at present there is a lot of road works going on and because of this and diversions and the fact that the hotel is right on the corner where the tram goes by, we had 4-5 Uber drivers cancel on us as they could not find us or get to our hotel safely for pick-up - a little frustrating but not the end of the world. Just meant we had to call our Uber when we’d walked a block or 2 away. These slight frustrations will not deter us from booking at this hotel again.

Great location virtually across from Gare. Easy walking distance to sites & river. Helpful, courteous reception & cleaning staff. Would definitely recommend.
Room small by Australian standards but exceptionally clean, bed very comfy, no view but room was very quiet.

The location is very good, and the hotel is pet friendly. Apart from that, we were surprised that the staff did not speak English at all, and the room cleanliness was far from good (it was the first time we had to change the room!). We are frequent guests of the Best Western Hotels brand, and find them really great, but this one is much below BW average. Read full review for details. If you are looking for a leisure and chill, this hotel may surprisingly interrupt your plans
Well, overall BW Hotels are great, but in this one we had to change the room to another one because of very improper cleaning (the toilet was just gross). Besides we had to use a translator to talk to the staff, as English was not spoken here. The whole point of being loyal to Best Western Hotels is to have an accommodation without any stress. This time everything ended up being passable, but there was a lot of unnecessary stress and time wasted due to communication with staff and room lower standards. This was the first time of 7 in BW we had to change the room due to poor conditions. Anyway, the process went relatively smoothly and the staff was helpful (despite lack of English). The lower rating is because hotels should serve people, not the other way around. You pay for your stay so you shouldn't be constantly stressed about it or uncomfortable
