The sea view
The tv didn't work, the sewerage smell was horrific, the breakfast was minimal and 1st come 1st served and everything was gone if you wasn't down in time ,the room was ok but only minimum drinks stuff, enough for 2 drinks, shower very small and tight fit to get around the door to get in it ,never saw the staff smile once and wasn't very helpful
Hotel needs updating especially outside of building Windows could do with a clean inside and out
overall at was a nice hotel ,, nice location handy for everywhere ,, I would have preferred parking
wasnt to keen on there not being a cooked breakfast ,, didn't like that they had no car parking ,, apart from that it was a good stay
Staff were very helpful and pleasant to talk to.
The beds were uncomfortable.
The location was right opposite the North pier and just round the corner for buses and shops.
I was put on the 1st floor in Room 102 and I just couldn't stay in there as there was drainage problems in the bathroom which the staff must have known about but did not tell me. I then told a member of staff about the horrible smell and I was moved to the 2nd floor for the night. I AM A DISABLED PERSON not in a wheel chair with a air cast boot on and I had NO help from staff to help me with my luggage up the stairs and I have a severe phobia to lifts so I couldn't use them. In the morning I had to carry my luggage back down the stairs to the first floor to Room 102. I told a member of staff the smell was still really bad in Room 102 and got told the handy man will have a look then I got told that the handy man could not fix the drainage problem as he had go right though the floor to fix it. I then got told that I will be put on the 3rd floor as there was NO other rooms available, which there was but they were for the other guests and not me. Again I told the female staff I am a DISABLED PERSON and wish to be on the first floor as I cant use the lifts as I have a severe phobia to lifts and I cant climb a lot of stairs she just didn't wouldn't listen to me I just got told I had to take the ROOM on the 3rd Floor. In the end I had carry my luggage up 43 lots of stairs with out the help from staff. About 8-9 TIMES A DAY WITH A AIR CAST BOOT ON, and I had to do that for 3 days right until I checked out. And I had NO TV to watch. IF THIS HAPPENED TO ANOTHER DISABLED PERSON I BET THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN TREATED A LOT BETTER THEN I DID AND THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN OFFERED ANOTHER ROOM ON THE FIRST FLOOR AND IF THEY HAD A SEVERE PHOBIA TO LIFTS LIKE ME AND COULDNT CLIMB A LOT OF STAIRS THEY WOULD HAVE HAD THE HELP FROM STAFF. ALL DISABLED PEOPLE SHOULD BE TREATED FAIRLY AND WITH RESPECT FROM THE STAFF AT THIS HOTEL.
