The staff were lovely and the concierge Chloe was extremely helpful she gave us a new room and a bottle of cava as a gesture.
We booked the hotel in March and when we arrived the hotel was undergoing renovations.we should have been informed about this before arrival.a five star hotel would not treat it's guests this way.
The one restuarant that was open was amazing. The staff and chefs could not do enough for the guests. The choice and standard of food was tip top and catered for gluten and allergen sufferers. The desserts were a delight.
The hotel was not as described due to it undergoing refurbishment and closure for 2 months. We were not told about this prior to our stay. Bed linen was not changed all week. 2 restuarants closed. No concierge. No bell boys. No waiter service at pools. No robes/slippers and no turn down service. Not 5 star uk standard.
Location staff room food
Not that i didnt like but the hotel was due to close and attendance to cleanliness around pools was a bit lacking.
We were never informed either at booking stage or on checking in that the hotel was closing due to renovations. While we paid for all inclusive package the services were not available to us - restaurants were closed / bars closed / food and drinks supplies were reducing day by day / the spa closed. The hotel stopped cleaning our room over the last few days - Bed linen was not charged in our entire stay At no time did anyone in tHe hotel take responsibility for the treatment of the guests - guests were complaining - staff were trying to avoid them when the diggers arrived while we were at the pool it became a ridiculous situation - and then the settling of the bill - they insisted on full payment despite the fact we didn’t get the services we paid on - just overall a terrible experience
The overall experience was good value for money, the views of the hotel were beautiful and the outside pool areas were very nice and comfy. I would go back
The single use plastic cups they give you to get your drinks to the poolside area are unacceptable. Single use plastic in 2019 is a shame, plus it doesn’t match with the overall aesthetics of the place, it makes it look trashy. Also the small shampoo bottles in the bathrooms could be replaced by big bottles stuck on the wall that can be refilled. Hope now that the refurbishment is taking place, a few more eco solutions will be considered.
