9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were there to answer every question and were so obliging with any request. Beautiful gardens and right on the beach.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, gardens, staff and service all perfect. The room was fantastic, the mattress was so comfortable. Only wish we'd found it earlier and had more time to stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The Beach is very beautiful. Staff and Breakfast is amazing. We will be back in next year. Highly recommend. Perfect
8,8 Excellent
Pros: All the staff was amazing, rooms very clean every day, beautiful resort and beach, very good breakfast. Very private resort, peace and quiet. They try to help you with anything you need and are really amazing. It was an amazing stay, would recomend to everyone and the resort has probably the most clean beach on whole island.
Cons: Room and bed sheets have a strong smell of humidity, staff should pick up trash from the beach troughout whole day, the food in the restaurant is a bit too expensive for what you get (size of a meal is too small for the price you pay).
7,5 Good
Pros: This place is indeed beautiful. The rooms are wooden artwork, the bathroom is very stylish with good palm tree views while having a shower. The exotic surroundings with a variety of palm trees, orchids, ornaments and a man made waterfall are well maintained. It is right close to the attractive white sand beach. No
Cons: The light from the outside stairways is shining through to the bedroom at night. Even if you book your stay long in advance, make sure you gonna change your mind, there is no free cancellation.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is really Amazing. We indeed enjoy it here so much. I think this place will give you awesome experience.
Cons: Everything is perfect. Nothing to complaint
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The service was outstanding, especially Dien from front desk
Cons: Breakfast
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Discovered Coco Palm resort after a disappointing experience at Mango Bay resort at sunset . Booked a room for the following day and from the attentive staff especially Huyen at reception who gave me a free upgrade to the spotlessly clean room , comfortable bed and silent nights sleep . I’d have no hesitation in recommending Coco Palm to anyone who wants access to a great beach ,calm shallow water and great service . Breakfast was “Rât Ngon “ 10/10
Overview Reviews
Located on Phu Quoc Island, La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc, member of the MGallery collection, boasts a style reminiscent of a French seaside mansion.Set in tropical gardens on a beautiful stretch of beach, the resort boasts evocative design comprising a richblend of dark woods, fine linens and mosaic tiles, complemented by large terraces with sweeping views. In addition to 70 rooms with private balconies, La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc features two restaurants,a lounge bar, swimming pool, water sports and day spa
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The premises are deliciously quaint with remarkable grounds very well kept and most attentive and professional staff. The Spa is worth the detour where the atmosphere adds charm to our pampering. The free airport transfers are a most-appreciated delicate attention.
Cons: I would only recommend that guests be provided with an easy-to-read card for taxis indicating --in Vietnamese-- the exact location and providing a map. Such would avoid difficult discussions with drivers hardly English-speaking and not always aware of addresses.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel with a nice beach and beautiful gardens. Staff can't do enough to help you. In a good location near to town and surrounded by bars and restaurants.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Grounds beautiful and beach lovely. Service was fantastic. Food amazing especially in the Peppertree restaurant.
Cons: Bed and pilllows could have been better.
6,3 Good
Pros: Lovely rooms and staff
Cons: Swimming pool turned your hari green and the sea was so full of ocean waste. Not like I remember form 10 years ago either.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great - all you need and lovely breakfast area Staff and house is super - will return
10,0 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The whole resort look and feel was beyond expectations. The staffs were very accommodating and room had all essential you can think of , comfy, cosy facing the beach. Breakfast was really good and dessert was super! If u are into a private quiet type of holiday with a beautiful soft sanded beach in Phu Quoc, I would truly recommend La Veranda
Cons: Could have a wider food selection
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Super charming hotel. Understated design that is really well done. Great location on beach and near town. Beach and pool facilities are kept clean. Lots of little surprises during the stay from music to happy hours. The staff really cared and was thoughtful without being intrusive.
Cons: T
10,0 Excellent
Pros: La Veranda is a beautiful Colonial style hotel with lush gardens, stunning ocean views and an all round relaxing feel to it. Coming back into the resort from the outside world seems like coming home. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much. One of my favourite things about La Veranda is sitting on the Veranda watching the view change at different times of the day. Sunset in particular. The food at Peppertree was wonder and a short walk down the beach to Spice House is nice thing to do. A must is seafood at the night market, it is cheap, chaotic and fun. All in all it is a wonderful place to stay and is my second time in 4 months. I will be a regular. Thank you Marshall, you have a great team.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, staff and service were extraordinary, amazing view for the breakfast, convenient location.
Cons: The weather was the only that we were not fond of. August is not the best time to visit Phu Quoc.

Cons: Location is secluded, a good thing the restaurant offer great food and great selection
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely, the resort as a whole was beautiful and staff attentive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location, and even out of season we didn’t need to leave the resort. Lots of little extras from champagne and fruit to mark our anniversary. Excellent food too
Cons: Daily room cleaning took place quite late
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely stunning - one of the nicest places I’ve stayed. Right on the beach with an infinity pool that gives a gorgeous setting to watch the sunset. Food was also top notch and the breakfast selection is great! The rooms are gorgeous with the outdoor shower and bath.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so accommodating and helpful. I loved my jacuzzi room. The room was comfortable with a great view. Everything about my stay was great!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
6,3 Good
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Swimming pool that should be ready days before (as announced on the site) wasn´t ready... As the sea condition didn´t allow access to the sea, the swimming pool increase importance and the deception…
7,9 Good
Pros: Very nice pool. The staff was great. Breakfast was first class. Everything was well maintained and CLEAN.
Cons: Pool hours 6:00 PM is way too early to close the pool. The wood walk could be dangerous for older guest. I purchased a fan to help support the AC.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The location...it is a reclusive place, away from the noise of the town, perfect to rest your mind and soul... The room was very clean, the breakfast delicious...at the restaurant the food was good and plenty...
Cons: I didn’t like the fact that like 10 meters away from the private beach there was garbage, maybe plastic brought by the sea...but, still...it should be cleaned...it’s just not esthetic or healthy for the ecosystem...
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Loved the ocean fronted room, was very lovely with sunken bath on the decking. The restaurant produces lovely meals and the staff go the extra mile to make your stay that little more enjoyable. Was nice to stay in a high quality resort that didn’t have a massive conglomerate feel to it.
Cons: We stayed during the wet season so we weren’t able to swim in the ocean as it was far too rough. Plus the pool was being repaired at the time so we couldn’t swim. We were compensated by the property for the inconvenience of the pool.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable and our bungalow was just a few steps away from the beach. The staff was nice and we had a very pleasant stay.
Cons: The beach was clean but the ocean not so much. Honestly, I don't think this has anything to do with the property, I even saw some staff cleaning the shore during our stay. However, I felt it was a bit of a pity.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, wonderful food and a very tranquil relaxing place to stay. Beach front accommodation was excellent and although the beach wasn't quite what we expected the improvements with the sea wall and the beautiful gardens and pool made up for it. All round a great place to unwind and relax. Thanks to all the staff for making our family holiday very special. Cheers
10,0 Excellent
Pros: - luxurious - value for money - friendly staff - bamboo straws - beautiful beach, cleaned several times a day - clean pool - modern and comfortable rooms - amazing food - no single use plastic toiletries
Cons: - no water filter available (plastic water bottles used instead)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. Good cooking. Quiet and cozy place.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: ... great atmosphere, warm welcome, the manager was always there to see if everything is fine, wonderful roomes, great food in the restaurant, pool in the garden made for having chilled days, it was great there and with the little peppercorn gift at the end we will remember our great days there
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Where to start..? We arrived in the pouring rain and were welcomed by staff who met us at the car with umbrellas and warm smiles. Rather than just giving us the room keys Thuy walked us to the room (#23 with garden/ sea view) and showed us around all the facilities on the way. She and other staff checked in with us several times during our stay to make sure everything was ok. We decided to stay here for some real R&R and that's exactly what we got. 10 metres to the main building (which housed reception, restaurant and little gift shop), swimming pool and the beach. Great massage therapist on-site, hammocks (yay! Don't worry they also have heaps of sunbeds) and seriously good food all made to order fresh onsite. If there's anything specific you want just let them know and they'll do their best to accommodate you. Pomelo salad with shrimp was amazing as was the Vietnamese pancake with mango for dessert!
Cons: We stayed here for a couple of nights after traveling all through Vietnam and absolutely loved it! There was nothing not to like, though if you want to be in the middle of it all this is not the place to be. 50 minutes drive to the airport, long beach (main tourist area) around 30 minutes drive. The only downside? We didn't stay long enough!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was excellent and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was superb, including the breakfast which was excellent.
Cons: There is nothing negative about this place, it was all good.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The overall location is really nice and quiet ( at least during low season), perfect to relax for a few days. There are good breakfast options to chose from and always tasty fresh fruits. The room was also very spacious and comfortable with a very big shower. The nice pool is definitely a plus.
Cons: The only downside is the trash in the ocean and on the beach where the water starts. Even if the resort employs cleaners on a daily basis, all the garbage from the nearby beaches ( and it’s a lot!!) floats around, ending up here too. More care of the natural landscape and ocean should be taken as it’s definitely not attractive to swim.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The property was managed by very professionally and well trained staffs who were always ready to serve you with smile. Clean bright and spacious rooms with clean and super comfortable beds, great breakfast, day’s special lunch and dinner was great too...overall a great stay.
Cons: Nothing really
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, friendly staff, good food
Cons: Rocky shore, pool very small
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so friendly and helpful. Happy hour free drinks between 4 and 5pm. Very good onsite restaurant.
Cons: Its not that I didn't like it but they don't need to replace beach and bath towels everyday. (I said to them when I saw the cleaner not to bother on the day I saw them go to do so.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. Wonderful place and lovely staff.
Cons: Nothing.
7,9 Good
Pros: The staff and the location
Cons: Just came at the wrong time, as it was rainy season.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location is incredible and the beachfront very well maintained. The outdoor lights over the hammocks meant I could read at night while listening to the waves. The traditional food at the restaurant was delicious, I must've had the shaking beef 4 times and never got tired of it. The only resort out of the three I stayed at to fumigate for mosquitos, and it made a massive difference.
Cons: Pool cues were in dire need of new tips. Also I never figured out why but the cost of doing laundry was about 3x more expensive than elsewhere on the island.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are extra friendly! :) Nice view to the sea. Swimming pool is very beautiful.
Cons: We were all waken up by rain drops from the ceiling into the middle of our bed! We could not try the kayak or bike tour due to heavy rain.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely bungalow, nice beach. Good food in the restaurant. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Laundry was quite expensive.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the resort, the reception and restaurant staff absolutely wonderful. Enjoyed the company of Ms Tien, Lien and Thi, delightful young ladies. The resort cottages are roomy and set in lovely natural gardens on a clean well groomed beach. Restaurant food very good. The pool lovely. We will come back.
Cons: Not at all the resorts fault, but unfortunately the rainy season had set in a couple of days prior with continual torrential rain and thunder storms. We stayed five days but decided to cut our stay short and head back to the sun in Hoi An as the storm and rain was to last for some time. Our problem as we should have checked when the rainy season occurred on the island - it is earlier than in central and northern VietNam.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the remoteness and especially the friendliness and cleanliness of the resort! With rented motorbikes it was very easy to discover the island and return every day back to an island within an island! Great sunsets, nice personell, perfect pool. We had a very relaxing time. Thank you very much!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing room, step out onto the beach. Staff were fantastic and the food was phenomenal.
Cons: WiFi very poor in room but amazing at restaurant area. The ONLY bad point about our stay.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent and very friendly. The resort was well maintained
Cons: It was unfortunate that the weather was not good during our stay and the resort is a bit remote but the staff made our stay pleasant.
7,5 Good
Pros: - Beautiful semi outdoor bathroom with garden within - Incredible bungalow balcony with views - Lush, clean pool - Location; one of the best beaches on the island
Cons: The name "eco resort", as there were several non-eco offerings: - Single use plastic bathroom toiletries (including bars of soap wrapped in plastic, plastic toothbrushes + cotton buds) - No water filter available (plastic water bottles offered instead) - TV in room, very unnecessary in such a beautiful location

When you stay at Mango Bay Resort in Phu Quoc, you'll be on the beach, within a 15-minute drive of Phu Quoc Night Market and Ong Lang Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: The food was wonderful and the staff incredible. The location is unbelievably beautiful.
Cons: This place doesn’t have a/c or a pool, but that’s part of the point and it’s unique beauty. It has the best beach so there’s no need for a pool and the eco cabins make it a very special experience, but in terms of comfort, this place isn’t for everyone. We loved it, but we weren’t looking more for a unique experience than for the lap of luxury.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It’s a great resort, and the spa is amazing!!! The ladies there are very talented, couldn’t get enough.
Cons: But, whilst the Rocks Restaurant and Bar is being renovated it lacks in ‘communal’ areas to hang out. As it rained the whole time, I had to actually pay for an extra night (late checkout is full price) so I could sit on the veranda for a few hrs before heading to the airport - nowhere to hang out.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has a very special appearance. Very rustic and in the middle of the forest but also in front of the sea. The room was simple and very environmental friendly but you could find everything you need. The airport pick up and drop off is a big plus. All the staffs were very friendly and helpful whenever needed. The free yoga classes in the morning was great to start the day. Breakfast was way above the expectations! You can see that they want to deliver the best quality.
Cons: Spa treatments and food/drinks too expensive (2-3x more than outside). It was raining so very muddy and not safe to walk from the room to the restaurant or reception. They should put some rocks/structure in the path to avoid walking in the mud when raining.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Hard to find natural eco-friendly 'old school' beach vacation - in Harmony wt Nature
Cons: Season ;)
7,9 Good
Pros: WE HAD A LOVELY HOUSE IN THE JUNGLE WITH A TREE VIEW AND SEA VIEW ,SHOWER OUT IN THE OPEN WHICH WAS GOOD ,COMFY BED ,FRIDGE ETC AND BALCONY,RESTAURANT WAS VERY GOOD TOO WITH BREAKFAST
Cons: PATH WAYS NEED A CLEAN UP AS TRIP HAZZARDS EVERY WHERE. NO POOL ETC AND NO SEPERATE BAR AREA
10,0 Excellent
Pros: For someone who loves nature, the lush greenery and gorgeous bay at the resort was nothing short of spectacular, especially when the resort is also eco friendly! Food at the beach restaurant was fantastic, both taste and variety. Loved the fruit platter served for breakfast every morning, what an awesome way to start your day with some fresh, delicious tropical fruits. View from verandah rooms and beach restaurant is amazing, not forgetting to mention the spacious patio with a huge hammock to just laze. Staff are all friendly and helpful; some may have slight language barrier but most can converse in basic English.
Cons: -
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice beach
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Great staff for the most part. The guys at the activity center are so sweet. Fritzi the yoga teacher and massage manager is a total pro. Beautiful location and well maintained. The restaurant is one of the best on the island too.
Cons: Three things that bugged us: - no additional water provided with turn down service (the woman at the reception told us we had to walk to the restaurant if we wanted more water in our room) - the staff at the restaurant were quite rude about smoking one cigarette outside (when there was no one else around) - this is the biggest one: discomfort of the beds and how hard it was to sleep within the mosquito nets :-/
10,0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast was amazing, with a huge selection to suit everyone. staff were extremely friendly and attentive.
Cons: it was perfect
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Exquisite architecture. I loved the lighting. The lanterns along the pathway we’re especially breath taking. For what may appear to look simple yet elegant eco lodge, this place had a lot of thought put in each and every detail. The restaurant was fantastic, as a chef and restaurant owner, I’m impressed! The cocktail menu was fantastically curated. It’s far away from hustle and bustle, but it will be hard for you to leave your very temperature cool Bed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything except the things you can’t control being the rubbish coming in from the ocean .
Cons: The ocean pollution and it should be made clearer snorkeling is only available 6mths is the year
9,1 Excellent
Pros: Loved the laid back, rustic character of this place. The resort restaurant was very good -- food and ambiance (deck right on the oceanfront).

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful pool on the water. Nice spa on the beach. Rooms were nestled into a lovely garden. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.
Cons: Service was mediocore at best. Everyone was perfectly nice but not in any hurry to bring menus etc. to the pool or take our orders.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great.
Cons: The location was a little further from downtown than I had expected. It was also down a long, windy street with lots of stores and resorts. Very hard to find. The path immediately before entering the property was dark and slippery.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and comfortable, it had a porch which was good for reading or relaxing. The pool and the beach were great. We recommend using the spa facilities even if they are a little expensive.
Cons: Communication with the staff was challenging. The restaurant was expensive for what you got (you can find better value for money restaurants in the area). Our check out was a little weird; the manager came the night before we were leaving, while we were having dinner at the restaurant, to kindly ask us to pay our pending bills that we were supposed to pay the day after.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: None
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The best breakfast we have ever had - fresh, local, homemade and totally delicious. Eye for a detail. Unbeatable customer care of the fleet of housekeepers, restaurant workers. Scooter rental on site with no hassle and comparable prices.
Cons: A little bit far from the town centre but we did not mind too much. A few minutes by car/scooter anyway.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: View Staff Relaxed atmosphere
Cons: All above
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantatsic location and chalets, right next to the beach and bars and restuarants
Cons: having to go home
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful little thatched roofed bungalows, large, clean swimming pool, lovely private beach, very considerate staff, incredible breakfast (served until 10am), great spa on the beach where you can hear the waves crashing. If you want a few days of unpretentious relaxation, this is your place. It’s very laid back - we got up early every morning to walk 10 mins to the local gym on the main road) just 50k a day) and returned in time for a nutritional and plentiful breakfast. We’re not health freaks but hate added sugar in fruit juice so Nga in the restaurant made sure we had fruit juice without sugar every morning - whatever fruit we wanted. We enjoyed the sea but it is a little rough at this time of year (July) so be careful! It’s so peaceful and quiet, this resort was just what we wanted.
Cons: The individual huts are a little dark but at the same time well proportioned and cool. They make the rooms up every day and provide free water at no extra charge. There was the occasional small insect in the bathroom but that’s hard to avoid considering the gardens.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We visited here in low season. At one stage during our stay we were the only guests. This did not change the way the staff were with us. The place was spotless. The bed very comfortable and had mosquito nets. The breakfast and all meals we had were delicious and it is not expensive. We walked the length of the beach and Mai House was the cleanest most natural looking place. The beach beautifully clean here and the pool was fantastic. The staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful.
Cons: Nothing at all
9,6 Excellent
Pros: A nice breakfast with smiling staff ready to assist. The breakfast group were great, and Yen, the night restaurant manager, was excellent. They are close to shops, restaurants, plus you can easily rent a scooter. Some other hotels are too far removed.
Cons: Very filthy beach water. This is unfortunately a big Phu Quoc problem, but not at all the hotel's fault. No TV in room, but that's a personal preference.

6,7 Good
Pros: The hotel is quite clean.
Cons: The hotel uses solar cell energy, since it was raining constantly (no sun at all), we have no hot water. We have to use COLD WATER to shower, which is extremely annoying. Also, we had a hard time flushing the toilet.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great english speaking staff, it was possible to pay in usd. Breakfast was great.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Well maintained gardens and accomodation. Beach and pool were really nice.
Cons: Location is good, but the only road can flood during rain season making it hard to walk to the hotel without getting wet feet.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location was great as right on the beach but close enough to main town. Breakfast was very good and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Also comfiest beds I've experienced in Asia.
Cons: We went in off season but were not told before hand that this meant that the resort wouldn't serve any drinks except beer and soft drinks. I'm gluten intolerant so it meant I couldn't have a cocktail or any spirits. I understand not serving cocktails but mixed drinks aren't difficult. It meant that myself along with a lot of other guests ended up drinking and eating off site. The restaurant also closed early most nights and the beach bar/restaurant was closed completely. As much as I understand the reasons it would have been nice to be told in advance.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nature interfered with our stay. The rain flooded everywhere. The Hotel transferred us to their sister hotel, The Galaxy. I can not thank either hotel enough for their duty of care, and our best interests, before money.
Cons: The Road cut the hotel off due to the heavy.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff. Definitley best part of the beach in the area. Pool is even better than on photos.
Cons: Snails, but that is a personal problem... Restaurant closes early, if you have a lazy night (but the one next door is great - Spice something).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: great staff, good breakfast and services, lovely place and enviroment.
Cons: nothing at all, this place is perfect
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Pool, beach, staff
7,9 Good
Pros: Very calm, the pool and people.
Cons: 50 meters before the hotel the road was floated, to go out at evening only by taxi or need to wet your foots to cross it.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were super friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast always delicious. Beautiful garden with fabulous pool.
Cons: No fan on garden view terraces to compensate for the sea breeze you get on the oceanfront bungalow.

Pros: Room & pool were great. Staff were friendly.
Cons: The breakfast was pretty atrocious unless you like asian food for breakfast. No bacon, no baked tomato, no anything much except fried eggs/omelettes.
7,9 Good
Pros: Great location. Close to cho dem and on the beach!
Cons: Didn’t have elevator! Big NO for older ppl that can’t walk the stairs. Bathroom window isn’t completely closed. It’s an open window with a screen so you have to keep the bathroom door closed at all times so ac air isn’t released
5,0 Okay
Cons: I had chance to visit my aunt staying here about 3.5 years ago. At that time i was thinking that i would try to stay here when i come back Phu quoc. But this time was a whole big difference. I was staying and using the service ( restaurant for breakfast and dinner, beach, pool) all the time in the resort during my stay but I never saw a smile on staff, especially the senior lady in front desk. As hotelier, I do believe that smiling is really important in hospitality industry. It is a good tool to make guest feel welcome and consider for a return. I think the management should consider for a plan of changing and enhancing in service, food and facilities. The staff always check and focus on their phone. We were heading to the restaurant and sitting at the table for 15 mins but no one came to offer us the menu. I had to go near the back office and said hello to have their attention. We did not ask for the early check-in as we would like to go to the beach until checkin time. But thank you for the young lady in front desk called us to get room earlier. The buffet was extremely poor and not worth with the price, it would be better that the resort can keep the current price but change the quality of food items. Moreover, in the BBQ, please let the guest choose their fresh food and bring to the grill station in stead of grilling and placing them ready on the station. In the last night, my beefsteak was cold and overcooked. The breakfast was acceptable. The room is getting old and stinky. But housekeeping are doing their job really well. Thank you for rescueing the room ages. However, please consider for a renovation. In my opinion, the resort has good location of having own beach and free shuttle bus, but it would be nothing if you have no quality in your service and product.

Pros: The Saigon Phu Quoc resort is relatively large in this area of Phu Quoc close to Duong Dong but it's not at all "massive" but almost conveys the charm of a boutique hotel; the buildings (ours a beachfront bungalow, but also buildings with 4 apartments and larger ones only slightly further away from the beach) are scattered in a generously spaced garden with a lot of green lawn and palms. The clean private beach contains ample recliners below coconut palms. Absolutely stunning. Every day a beautiful sunset (March 2019). Weather just perfect with 30°C. Very few vendors on the beach; actually only ladies with fruits, pastries and filled deep fried things we bought for lunch. 20k per piece but we bought 4 and got another 3 for free. Lovely lady selling them every day. Our bungalow was airconditioned very well, the airco could actually set and keep 23°C which isn't evident. A choice of various pillows was offered. The beds were just perfect: not brick hard like often in Asia but also not too soft. Wifi was perfect in all areas: different networks covered the bungalow, beach, pool, restaurant, etc. Very well thought through. The beach Wifi had sometimes unstable internet connection but another network maybe slightly further away was always available. We only had breakfast here which was according to the 4 star standard. We booked this resort partly for its proximity to the town, a 15 minute walk away, with restaurants on the night market. Especially the Phu Quoc Deli provided very good sea food at very reasonable prices. (Prices there vary; the tiger prawns were about half the price of its neighbour!) Further south there were more restaurants close to the resort but we didn't try those since the chaotic mix of everything on the night market was more appealing to us. Back to the resort; The staff is extremely welcoming and go above and beyond.
Cons: nothing
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Close to the beach with an amazing view through many palms. Also the beach is smooth. The rooms are big, clean and with a view to the beach. Also the breakfast is really recommandly because the choice is huge. The personal is more than friendly and always helpfully. We would book the Phu Quoc Saigon for sure the next time once again.
7,9 Good
Pros: Easy 10 minute walk into the local town & night market. 2 minute taxi journey for less than £1 if required. Interesting sea food at stalls/restaurants in night market. Very friendly, helpful staff throughout the resort- a few speak good English. They surprised my partner with a lovely birthday cake at breakfast, which was a very thoughtful touch.
Cons: High level of plastic in the sea- staff clear it regularly, but it washes up with high tide. Resort is generally clean, but decor & furnishing are tired and some repairs needed around the hotel, such as cracked tiles in the swimming pool.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, garden, staff
Cons: Facilities in bathroom, dim lights
7,6 Good
Pros: Had a VIP premier room and was pleasantly surprised that we had a beautiful beachfront bungalow. Breakfast was good, beach is well maintained.
Cons: Food was very expensive, air con didn't work very well in our room, minibar very expensive. Everything else was great.

Cons: In the evening, there is more garbage in the ocean.

Pros: Great location with nice beach and beautiful pool. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast buffet was good.

Pros: We love it because we get a bungalow front beach and the bungalow is perfect with a great view. Not as great if you got a room in the garden but the beach is clean The situation is good and the breakfast is great. Staff are very nice and professional
Cons: Restaurant is a bit too expensive..

Pros: The location and silence.
Cons: Furniture old and broken. Not provided even drinking water in room, not talking about coffee and tea.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location not far from the main town close to plenty of places to eat - planty of fresh seafood. Kim was a great host and was always ready to help. She arranged for a Taxi to take us out to see all the sights in the south of the island - fabulous day out. Breakfast was great and we were able to eat it at our beach front bungalow. Sunsets were amazing directly in front of us. Beach was clean and the sea was warm, shallow and crystal clear.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very good locality. Close to the airport and close to the town. Many nice restaurants nearby. International guests of the resorts - not just from one country. Good breakfast, full of fresh fruits or juices. Very kind personnel. Suitable for families with small children. Standard room, and bathroom - but adequate to the price. Often change of towels.
Cons: - Very disappointed by the fact of on top surcharges if you pay accommodation by credit card. Based on my experience when travelling in Vietnam it was an exception - no other such a negative experience in various visited hotels (resorts) so far. We complained directly to the owner of the resorts but without any effect. - Too many Russians on the beach from nearby resorts. No additional comments to this point needed:-)

Pros: The beach area just outside has some palm trees which offers shade. The mama in the kitchen does the best fish with lemongrass and chilli in the area.
Cons: People from other hotels trying to get in the shade of the palm trees.

Pros: Perfect location on a busy Island Phu Qoc, Very friendly owners and staff. If you have a question Kim answers them or arrange it for you. Scooter rental or trips perfect. Kim and your staff thank you very much for the Wonderfull time me and my son spend with you.
Cons: nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff really kind , perfect location, calm, good food
5,4 Okay
Pros: There was a nice green garden. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: This place is very overpriced. I expected much more for this price. Bungalows need renovation. There was a lot of mold on the ceiling. Lightning in the room was not good. Walls are dirty. There is a really small beach for many guests. Big part of sunbeds was broken. Breakfasts are not good.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, hostess was friendly (although she didn't seem friendly at first) and was very helpful when our friends child got sick. She organised taxy and gave suggestions for the hospital. I liked the place although we didn't have a hot water for 1,5 days and we didn't even got any compensation. The restaurant next to the bungalow is amazing (tripadvisor's recommendation), the bakery which is owned by bungalow is amazing
Cons: I needs to be updated but it was okay for us. We did not expect 5 star hotel. Breakfast was avarage. Although it is written than children under 6 years old stay free of charge while using existing beddings they still charge for the breakfast. So be aware of that

Pros: Nice breakfast, very good staff

Pros: Quiet and right on the beach, close to shops and restaurants. Breakfast is also good
Cons: A/C wasn’t working properly and wi-fi was very slow in the evenings

Pros: I liked the drinks on arrival. I liked the spa treatments they had on offer. I liked the clean towels for both pool and bathroom. I liked the bed, it was so comfortable.
Cons: I didn't like the coffee at the buffet I think it would be good to have someone make it for you. I don't know how to make a cafe sua da. I didn't like that there wasn't a wide variety of fruits at breakfast. Only 3 options. I didn't like how hard the towels were. I didn't like the lighting in the bathroom it was very dark in there.

Pros: I liked the garden and breakfast was amazing - right on the beach with many varieties.
Cons: We payed extra to have nicer room for our honeymoon - right on the beach, from other side pool, huge room. When we came from dinner we saw cockroaches coming from door that was locked from our side, we sprayed the door with spray we bought in supermarket - about 20 cockroaches were coming from the door. I went to reception - all the employees english was more than poor and the guy came to room and knocked on the door that cockroaches came from. Not from outside, from that door! We found out that behind that door were sleeping about 10 workers that were working on construction in the hotel!!!! and they could open the door to my room anytime! plus it was this kind of door you could see through from the other side! Such as immoral thing from hotel, so If I would have sex at my HONEYMOON, 10 men behind the bamboo door can listen to me and see me?!?!?! Reaction of employee was more than rude - "no other room, wait the night and tommorow we will move you." So I was supposed to stay in the room with 20 cockroaches and 10 vietnamese workers in the "closet". After longer time when (i think it was) manager came, they moved us to hotel near by. But guess what - THEY CHARGED US for that night. And we had to wait till 2 pm till other room is free. Behavior was so unprofessional, receptionists didnt speak english and manager didnt show up for the rest of our stay (week). Tell me in which normal hotel they charge for the night with cockroaches and vietnamese workers hiding behind the door with access to your room??? I wanted to leave that resort in a second but they had unprofessional behaviour and ANYBODY who speaks english at property and didnt want to give me my money back.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: For that price it is a perfect place to stay! Nice breakfast on the beach! The beach was clean. Nice bungalows. And the massages - amazing! Also the location was perfect- only 20 min walking from night market
Cons: There is nothing that we disliked.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Close to everything you would want, shops, restaurants, etc but mercifully quiet. Not by any means deluxe but perfectly adequate for a relaxing stay. Good restaurant, excellent staff.
Cons: Wifi slow. Ok for surfing but do not attempt to download quantities or stream video.

Pros: Good central location to Long Beach area Beach front water location
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location and quaintness of the property. The hotel staff were friendly and wanted to assist, even though the command of English for some was limited. The restaurant on the beach and staff far exceeded my expectations and the lemongrass chilled towels were to die for. The garden was a little oasis.
Cons: The rooms (sea-facing) were comfortable, but sparse. The bed was far too hard for me and the room needed an extra bamboo wardrobe/hanging rail for stays of a week or more. The spa near the swimming pool missed internal decor and was bland. The new swimming pool needed more than two sun loungers and required umbrellas for shade.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff especially domestic and restaurant staff. Great location. Good breakfast and all meals we took in the restaurant were first rate.
Cons: Nothing.
2,5 Mediocre
Cons: Very old bathrooms, cockroaches in the rooms, rats on the floor in all our 4 rooms. When we wanted to leave and cancel booking, they didn't want to give us back money, so we ended up staying in those dirty rooms!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in Phu Quoc long beach, which was the nicest beach for us in the island with clear water and nice sand. It is a beach hotel and spa with sea view, in front of the hotel there is a nice beach with palm trees and sunbeds, which hotel guests can use. Our terrace faced to the beach, we really enjoyed the view. The breakfast is served in the beach restaurant, very nice place. In the evening you can drink good coctails there in the sunset and there is a BBQ dinner with fresh seafood and romantic candle lights and fire torch. We tried this BBQ food on the beach, I recomend it to everyone. With the booking we got a free foot massage, which was very nice.
Cons: Only one thing which I can mention here, this is the bathroom. The bathroom is covered by stone, which is nice, but the shower is not separated, so water is everywhere in the bathroom. That's why it is always wet, no ventillation, so the smell of the bathroom is not the best. If you leave the bathroom door opened, this smell can go to the room. With a small renovation it could be much more better.

Pros: The resort was beautiful and very well kept. We were upgraded to a bungalow which was lovely and a short walk from the pool/beach. Breakfast had a great selection and was delicious. The pool overlooks the sea and is so relaxing.Staff very helpful. They went to the trouble of leaving a birthday surprise in the room for my boyfriend.
Cons: We could not fault it. Would defiantly recommend
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The resort is near to the airport. There is a bus to shuttle us to and fro to the airport. Love the room as it's facing the beach.
Cons: There is no halal food at the resort restaurant. Breakfast is simple, can only eat pancakes, bread and food.
6,7 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: No hot water in the morning due to heavy usage i guess and insufficient supply. Doors appear to slam too easily due to heavy wind, creating very loud noise and the doors need seals all around for better acoustic
3,4 Mediocre
Pros: The pool and various breakfast options.
Cons: Facilities are old and delapidated. Service slow and staff in great need of training. Isolated from other attractions and tours offered conducted by bell boy with little knowledge and huge language barrier. Food at restuarant overpriced and worst Ive had in Vietnam. It really is not a 4 star resort, I dont know who they bribed to get the rating but it should be revoked. So sad I spent a wk there and lost so much money for nothing.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice pool and exit to the sea.
Cons: One of the main reasons to book the hotel was the spa which is not functional and it was not mentioned before. The hotel in itself is nothing from a dream hotel by the sea, as the concrete buildings are not very charming but overall good value for money.

Pros: Beautiful place, great location, the staff were amazing and it's great value for money.

Pros: SHOULD CHANGE THE MENU FOR DAILY BREAKFAST LOCATION GOOD
Cons: STAFF MUST IMPROVE THE ENGLISH COMMUNICATION.

Pros: It was a great location, felt very welcome and staff were very helpful until it was time for us to leave.
Cons: Website stated a free shuttle to and from the airport. Which on arrival it was great when it was time to leave we decided to leave a day early and they said they would have a shuttle waiting at 6:15am along with a box breakfast for us to go. We got to the front desk at 6am and they had no shuttle set up or a breakfast for us. Then they went to check our room for charges and kept telling us we took a room key and we needed 3, well we had 3 in the envelope and she still kept trying to charge us for a key. They then called a taxi to take us and the front desk lady gave the taxi driver a voucher and when we pulled up to the airport he demanded the cost of the taxi. We refused to pay him and got our bags and got out, we kept trying to tell him the hotel should of had a free shuttle waiting and I think that was wrong on the hotel to not have the hotel shuttle waiting for us.
7,1 Good
Cons: This place needs some maintainance for garden around living area
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds. The food was outstanding in the buffet and restaurant. The beach bar made really good drinks too.
6,3 Good
Pros: Good hotel with the awesome territory. Close to the airport. Nice breakfasts. Rooms are clean and big.
Cons: There are a lot of trash on the beach and in the sea. I can understand about the sea, it is hard to clean and it is not a responsibility of the hotel, but the beach, nobody cleaned it for 3 days which we were staying here. Also the water in the see not dirty and smells like a river, because big river are located close to the hotel. The hotel is very far from the city and you have to use a taxi every time when you want to go to eat something, as prices in the hotel are not so attractive.

Cons: The water around the resort was not clean as the staff was pouring black liquid into the ocean. The gymnasium was dirty, there were geckos, spiders and a nest of insects inside it.
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Good food in restaurant (even if bad service) and nice swimming pool.
Cons: At the last moment they changed our hotel to the city center chez carole because the one in the beach had problems with the heavy rain and was temporarily closed. We accepted expecting same kind of services but the beach there was very dirty with no sunbeds (looked like destroyed due to the rain) and no one attempted to clean the beach during our stay. The staff hardly speaks english. The price of renting a motorbike was double to any other place in vietnam and we ended up renting them in a shop at 10m from the hotel at half price.

Pros: Really enjoyed the stay at Kim Hoa and recommend it strongly. Private beach, nice swimming pool, very friendly staff, rich breakfast, free shuttle service. The staff do their utmost to make your stay perfect. 5 star service at a very reasonable price. Stayed at a bungalow although equipment is a bit oldish who cares as you spent most of your time on the private beach.
Cons: Absolutely perfect
7,5 Good
Pros: very friendly staff, nice but small beach, sunbeds are not for everyone
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The place wasn’t full of people. So maybe, according to the value if the room, i would moved the customer to another room with a view on the ocean.
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t excellent, good but maybe more improvement on the choice.
6,7 Good
Pros: It is good value for the money. The pool is really lovely and kept clean. Could do with some more umbrellas. So close to the beach which had a section reserved for guests. Was also really close to all the shops and restaurants which was handy with a baby to walk to things. Staff were helpful even though some had limited English so communicating was sometimes difficult.
Cons: Baby cot was not safe and collapsed with my 5 month old in it, who landed on the tile floor. Luckily no serious injury but I highly recommend against using the resort cot. Atmosphere never really felt relaxed and wasn't able to enjoy the beautiful surrounds. Room and bathroom were fairly small and felt cramped.
7,1 Good
Pros: Good location close to Duong Dong with walking distance to Night Market. Nice bar close to the beach with great view over the sea and the beach. Nice elevated pool with great view, and nearby restaurant for breakfast.
Cons: Bad service at the beach restaurant, when ordering food one dish could come immediate while next when others have finished eating. VERY large activity to prepare for new years eve that was really noisy and disturbing, and so was new years day when they started cleaning up early in morning with equally high noise volume. An outside tap in the wall was creating huge noise during night. The place need a careful renovation. The staff was friendly and trying but sometimes the English was just too poor.

Pros: I was for 4 days and the hotel was just perfect! Everyone was very polite and kind.

Pros: Rats were running around the ceiling
5,8 Okay
Pros: Staff was helpful when changing the room (we had massively leaking air-conditioning in the first one). Also helpful with early check out and providing taxi to the airport.
Cons: Not easy to find. There is a massive construction site right next to the hotel (very noisy with heavy machinery during the day). There were also burning something on the construction which filled whole place including the room with heavy smoke. The first room we got was very smelly and humid. For the beach is better to have shoes for water as it has sharp stones everywhere.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: room is very clean...we loved beach view bungalow..management is responsive and attentive
Cons: beach is not clean
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Probably the cheapest resort by this part of Long Beach (which is a great area - the waters are cleaner here than next the the city center) and still super nice and beautiful and lovely staff, excellent value for money! The price is cheaper probably because the resort is located in the only rocky part of the beach, not good for swimming, but you can just walk 50 metres and there are kilometres of great beach on left and right (there are other resorts, but the beaches are not private). We didn't book breakfast, instead we ate in different restaurants. All the restaurants offer breakfast and have the same breakfast menu (omelettes, bread, pancakes) but if you choose a place not right on the beach the price is cheaper. Note: the place has two names, Viet Thanh Resort and Free Beach Resort (still the same exact place). The locals and drivers know the latter one better.
Cons: In January 2019 there was a construction site right behind the rooms, they are starting to build another hotel there, so if you mind the noise, it can be loud and go on late at night. But ee didnt really mind, and there's really nothing they can do about it...
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Nice view from bungalow at the beach
Cons: Dirty beach with a lot of trash on it. A package of used condom was lying at the beach in front of our bungalow. Hotel’s restaurant was closed. There was not even a possibility to find a plate or a knife to cut fruits. Ceiling of the bathroom has holes and water was dripping during rains. Standard of the room is much too low for its price.
4,2 Okay
Cons: Construction work next to the resort. 7days a week, starting at 7:00 am so no sleep. 3 Guarding dogs that barks at you at night (also waking you up) No cleaning service for the 8 men dorm!
4,2 Okay
Pros: Beautiful garden
Cons: Noisy construction site next to the resort, disgusting rubbish at the beach and in the sea, all sourrounding beaches full of rubbish
