In need of upkeep
Location is good.
Facilities are worn and shabby. They are in need of upkeep and maintenance. Overheard a staff member telling another guest last major upkeep was 2011. It shows.
I liked that this Residence Inn was more like an apartment--every unit required driving to park nearby and your front door was outside rather than inside of a building. It was a first for me as my typical stays at past Residence Inns were more like a hotel with efficiencies for rooms.
The downside to the apartment style layout was that you had to walk or drive through bad weather to get to the main office in order to enjoy the complimentary breakfast--that's pretty tough when you have young children.
Nestled near the Sandia Mountains, the Residence Inn Albuquerque is surrounded by southwestern beauty and destinations such as the University of New Mexico, Rio Grande Nature Center and Uptown Albuquerque. While in the Land of Enchantment, admire the architecture and charm of Old Town Albuquerque, and visit the eclectic, locally-owned stores in historic Nob Hill. After a long day driving on Route 66 or ascending the Sandia Peak Tramway, return to your home base and settle into unrivaled comfort. Our roomy suites offer space to spread out and enjoy separate areas for entertaining, dining and dreaming. Recreate the comfort of home in our fully equipped kitchens, by our cozy fireplaces or atop our beds decorated with crisp linens, custom comforters and fluffy pillows. After a restful night of watching your favorite premium channels on our flat-panel TVs or getting to work at our ergonomic workspaces, awaken with our complimentary hot breakfast. Embark on an extended-stay retreat at Residence Inn Albuquerque.
