Great breakfast freshly prepared. Superb friendly staff. Exceptional dog welcoming in all areas.
We like the size of the rooms and the quality of the furniture. Plas Derwin is situated ideally for us. We ate in the restaurant on the final night which was of a high standard both in food and service.
Some of the decor is showing signs of age. The rooms just need decoration and maintenance. The extract fan in the bathroom was noisy and needs replacing. The towel rail had a broken bracket at the top and had a temporary repair made with tape!! Just minor things which didn't spoil our stay. This also was apparent in the the other areas of the hotel, the bar, the toilets, reception tec. A LITTLE GEM THAT NEEDS A REPOLISH.
Friendly helpful staff
Didn’t explain how to find late entry door from outside.
My family and i had driven from Kent so we arrived very late and were a little hungry, although the kitchen was closed the chef stayed to make us all some sandwich's which were fantastic! the breakfast was very yummy, didn't have to wait too long, lots to choose from. the room was super comfortable all four of us fitted in nicely and the bathroom was huge.
The pub downstairs was clean and the drinks ok. We only had breakfast which was good value and very nicely presented. The staff were very polite and helpful.
Upstairs was generally clean but a bit tired and in need of paint/decoration. My bath/shower had shaving hairs or something similar in it and a dripping tap but otherwise the room and bedding was clean. I’d say it was ok for a sporting weekend or lads night out but I wouldn’t have taken my wife there.
