Solaluna Beach Homestay - Abang - Building

9,6 Excellent (464 reviews)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were greeted at the front entrance by a staff member who sat us down in the restaurant that fronts the Homestay and given a wonderful welcome fruit drink to help us settle in. We ended up eating in this restaurant several times (in the mornings for the very nice breakfast that was included) as well as for two lunches and dinners. We found the ambience in the restaurant to be very pleasant and the food/coffee/fruit smoothies were great. In comparing the food with a couple of the other establishments highly recommended by Trip Advisor we found this place to be every bit as good if not better. Service was sincere and friendly. We had a room right at the beach. It was spacious, clean, pleasant and with an added bonus of an outdoor daybed on the lanai to watch the beach activities from. We did Stand-up paddleboarding right in front of the Homestay and snorkeling was within an easy walk down the beach. The staff for the accomodations and restaurant were excellent. They helped us arrange a wonderful snorkeling trip in a small fishing boat right in front of our room, as well as a driver to our next destination. Amed is a charming place and Solaluna made the stay there extra special. Would highly recommend this place.
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I chose this property as it had great reviews and they were spot on. Bali is known for its incredible hospitality but Solaluna are one step above again. I stayed in one of the smaller rooms. It was still a good size, clean and comfortable. The beach front location is amazing, on a quiet section of the beach. The food in the adjoining restaurant is really good as was the breakfast provided with the accommodation. I look forward to returning with my family.
Cons: The only thing I didn’t like in my room was the lack of windows. It did however mean that the room was quiet.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very genuine and caring
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were absolutely amazing, couldn't do anymore for us. On two of the afternoons we were they they surprised us by bringing us fresh fruit juice and pancakes to our room as a treat. Also on the last evening the prepared a dinner for us as a thank you for staying there, delicious mackerel with rice and Balinese sauce. They also helped us arrange a fishing trip as well as point us to the best snorkelling spots and give us lifts whenever we needed. The room with the big balcony overlooking the sea with the volcano in the background is simply amazing, we chilled there for hours enjoying the views and sunshine. Perfect spot!
Cons: Everything was perfect!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Family managing the hotel is warm and helpful. Rooms clean and nice decoration. Good breakfast and exceptional expresso coffee. Some nights alive music. Incredible views to Agung vulcano sunset and good area for snorkeling. We saw turtles.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was beyond our expectation. The location was perfect as you can see both sunrise and sunset with a view of Agung mountain. It have a private beach. The stafg is really helpful. We both had breakfast lunch and dinner and its delicious
Cons: The light is too dark in our room.

Pros: Property was great, our two Bungalows were directly on the beach!
Cons: Not applicable...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: the rooms are beautiful and they think of the small details which often get overlooked in bali. staff are very friendly and attentive. the place is on the beack so perfrect to stroll out and relax and enjoy the water.
Cons: all good.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a really nice spot right on the beach. We were a family of 6 adults staying in 2 beach front bungalows and the biggest room with a big terrace upstairs. The view is amazing, the little village so nice and cozy - Solaluna has their own supermarket very close to the homestay. There is also a nice café serving the best coffee and very good food! Relax, relax, relax - this is life!! And SO cheap for all you get here! The team at Solaluna is amazing - a big thank to all of them for making our stay unforgettable!! This was our second time at Solaluna - I hope, we can come back soon ;-) THANKS!!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and welcoming everyday, stunning view of sea and volcano from the room. The location is perfect, you can reach pretty much everything by walk or if you are lazy they help you rent a motorbike. Good breakfast! We will definitely stay here again next time!

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing view, amazing swimming pool and very nice rooms. We had a villa for 4 people, very nice, very comfortable beds and great wifi. Very well decorated, the owners have an amazing taste. We had dinner and breakfast in front of the sea, the place is calm and look heavenly. The four of us loved this place and wished to stay there even longer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was not too much trouble. Excellent, if a little overdecorated food. The best pool and facilities, a couple of negatives would be slightly noisy air conditioning in the master bedroom, also no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, a small but slightly irritating thing if you want a coffee early morning! We loved the place and will be back.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel with AMAZING view, highly recommended! The hotel facilities, the view, the rooms, the pool, the garden, the restaurant: everything exceeded our expectations. The photos don't do it justice, it's much more beautiful in reality!! It's very relaxed and quiet, because of the limited number of rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The family room was very comfortable, when travelling with children. In the restaurant they have a baby chair, which is very practical. You can snorkel in front of the hotel and they offer nice activities in the area, like sailing/ hiking etc. In the afternoon they offer massages in the garden, they are GREAT.
Cons: Only feedback I can think of: cleaning of the rooms can be done a bit more precise/ extensive. But overall: big fan of this hotel and will recommend it to all our friends.

Pros: Serene location, superb staff, very restful place to stay. Food is excellent, beaches nearby for snorkeling. The rooms are off the road so no noise from loud motorbike traffic at early or late hours. Will hopefully stay again!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very well planned and maintained private villa in beautiful surroundings on the seaside cliff. Super-friendly staff. Excellent organic food in villa's restaurant.
Cons: A fridge and a safetty box in the room would have been nice.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The outdoor space was magical and the staff were fantastic. The food was great, so fresh and very reasonably priced. We loved it all!
Cons: We liked it all!

9,6 Excellent
Pros: The views, the food, the location, happy hour and the floating breakfast.
Cons: Expensive
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quality accommodation with open view to the sea and sunrise , great totally private pool, classy food served well. Management and staff were excellent. Lovely roof top bar to sip cocktails watching the sunset and the highest volcano volcano Mt Agung. The location is very nice, short walking distance to the beaches (Lipah) for swimming and snorkelling swim straight from the beach to the coral. Taking the hotel's bicycles up beautiful country roads where the locals live and farm, including terraced rice fields.
Cons: Nothing...
5,8 Okay
Pros: Views were amazing The food was delicious
Cons: The lounges, cushions and even the lampshades were really stained. For $700 a night I expected it to be cleaner
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The transport too and from the airport was fantastic so spacious and allowed is to sleep and relax through the long 3 hour journey! Villas were amazing
Cons: Nothing much around and beaches really not nice but this is more around location. Lots and lots of centipeids they were everywhere literally falling from the ceiling on to us in our sleep !
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It is like a house you have everything inside a whole kitchen that you can actually cook there and also they have a water dispenser in the villa so don’t get water bottles with you as there is water everywhere not like other hotels offering two bottles each night no they give you a big water dispenser with big water bottle and glass bottles that you can fill to have it with u during the day and the bathroom you will really enjoy it
Cons: Seriously nothing
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The facility was perfect as was the food. Must do is the cooking class, awesome family experience.
Cons: I booked in with pre paid accommodation. They then charged my CC for the accommodation again at A$3,200. They did reverse this yet they were so worried because they didn’t take a deposit they insisted every time we got a drink or food I pay with cash or credit card, couldn’t book anything to the room. How embarrassing to be told at the pool that I must go back to my room to get cash or card while my family stayed there, this in front of 30 other people. I would have thought if they could charge my card for $3,200 they assume I could cover the $900 in miscellaneous charges. So embarrassed.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: a stunning private villa with infinity pool. We booked deluxe villa and realized there was 2 bedrooms inside. Probably it was for 4 adults but we got all facilities for us. Totally worth the money.
Cons: Food were not that great and did not meet 5 stars standard.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: We had a pool villa with an amazing view. Very friendly and attentive staff. Great breakfast. Delicious food.
Cons: Breakfast area is not very nice. No view and really bad chairs.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breathtaking views. Good kitchen. Sunset at the rooftop bar.

Pros: Pool great Food & entertainment great
Cons: Little old Towels worn

6,3 Good
Pros: The staff was lovely and sweet. Very helpful.
Cons: On the map it looks like it should be within walking distance of the main area of town... But it is up on the other side of a hill and it doesn't feel safe to walk because there isn't much room for you and the traffic. I ended up renting a scooter... And for the price of the room and the rental I could have paid for another hotel in town
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great, with multiple options of choice.
Cons: A fridge, and possibly a large water distributer in the room, to cut down on plastic waste.
7,9 Good
Pros: Overall, the stay was good. I would recommend this place for a pretty basic needs traveler. Best shower pressure and temperature. The bed was comfortable. The view at breakfast is nice and you can hear the waves on the beach. The room is spacious and they have a full length mirror. The pineapple pancakes were good. Scooter rental is possible. The bedroom has nice light and a nice porch with a small table and lounger.
Cons: There were some spiders in my bathroom and it wasn’t perfectly clean, it needs an update. I expect some bugs but more cockroaches than I’ve seen in other apartments. The sliding door to the room didn’t close or open easily so maybe the bugs come in there. They weren’t around to ask any information about where to eat or what to do. Also, they told me Airport transportation would be no problem but I ended up spending a lot of time figuring it out with them. They shouldn’t offer it if they cannot arrange it. It’s not right by the restaurants or anything but it’s maybe a 15min walk in either direction to find the small towns. A scooter saves time.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The included breakfast was pretty good and the people are lovely. Pretty epic view from my room as well. When something broke in my bathroom they had it repaired quickly. Clean sheets and towels.
Cons: My friends aircon leaked. Bathroom is pretty basic but okay. Pillows are pretty average.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The family was very friendly and helpful. The owner arranged our Transfer to Gili T. We liked the Bungalows very much, we had a very nice view! Good location to snorkeling spots and Restaurants! Room was cleaned every day.
Cons: The bed was comfortable but very loud when you moved. We had insects in the straw and cobwebs between the forks.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely family running the homestay, each nicely decorated small bungalow offers every comfort and have a lot of space and a little veranda in front. All the family members are sooo friendly and doing their best to give every service possible. I found the location great, if you love snorkeling you can do it right in front of the place, 2 minutes down a little trail to the beach. Centrally located, 30 minutes walking to Amed beaches and 15 minutes to Jemeluk, and 25 minutes to Lipah beach the other way. it's quite a scenic walk, but scooters are available for rent at the property as well. Breakfast yummy!
Cons: In my room there was a gap between the sliding doors and the wall, by which the airco was not so effective.., otherwise all was great!
7,9 Good
Pros: The room is quiet big and very nice spacious bed, all in natural wooden/bamboo style which is plus. The location is between 2 famous beaches, however it will take time to reach both of them.
Cons: The room was not cleaned properly, only our bed. By the end of our stay floor was already quiet dirty. Upon booking our room was mentioned with a sea view ( i read many reviews about great sea view from the room and was the main reason i chose this property), however the view was blocked by the building in front of us, in fact our "villa" had the worst view from the room. Eventhough we stayed 3 nights and i saw 1-2 villas empty and asked to replace us, the lady owner said it's all booked, however nobody came afterwards. Due to language barrier was useless to insist.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: What a view when u book the room at the top of the homestay! Very nice hosts, everything perfect
8,8 Excellent
Pros: - Fantastic view from balcony (last floor room) - Very friendly and gentle staff - Good snorkeling spot near - Good food
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, peaceful, near to the beach, very kindly family. Take the breakfast while watching the sea.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious. You had choice and it was cooked for you individually so you knew it was fresh. The staff were so friendly and bent over backwards to accommodate our needs. They efficiently organised our transport. Thankyou.
Cons: The wifi was inadequate in the rooms however it was better in the reception/dining area. Everything else was great!
7,5 Good
Pros: Great location, quiet and great views. Good staff , very nice pools.
Cons: Minor improvements could be achieved- air conditioning not powerful enough to keep room cool, the cupboards were dusty.
7,9 Good
Pros: Excellent location, spacious rooms. Plenty of shade by the pool. Cool towel and drink on check in. Helpful reception staff.
Cons: Breakfast was okay but could have been better.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room, nice big balcony with a beautiful sea view (the room was on the 1st floor) and nice bathroom. There were 2 pools, which is good because one of them is almost always occupied by diving lessons, and the environment is pleasant: lawns, flowers and trees. Staff is effective and friendly, breakfast quite filling and offers several choices.
Cons: The bed was a bit hard, slightly uncomfortable but nothing really serious.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about our stay here. The staff were lovely, the food was superb, our room was great, and the location was perfect - on beach side of the road and sort of in between the busier parts of Amed which suited us fine. We were here to just crash out and escape city life, it was the perfect escape. Lots of hours spent by the pools reading and resting.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location, just a 5min walk to Lipah Beach which was nice and quiet compared to busy Amed and Jemeluk, but still good snorkelling. Lovely pools, facilities and outlook. Most staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Fantastic 3 course breakfast which you could chose, included in room price below. Great value for money, approx NZD100 for two people per night in a lovely, big twin room with bathroom, balcony with lots of space and sea views. Mirror in the room (as well as bathroom) is great, and often missing from other hotels. Despite some minor downsides, would definitely recommend!
Cons: One waitress at the restaurant was terrible and rude. Dinner was also pretty bad - eat lunch and dinner elsewhere, there are some great places on the way to Lipah Beach. Had probably the worst pedicure of my life - one side cut so short and curved, they made me bleed, after I tried to tell her to only file not cut and keep them straight (language barrier, even if I knew some Bahasa Indonesia I don’t think I could have communicated that), the other side normal and longer, but both sloppy paint as she ran over time. You will need transport if you want to go anywhere else - we walked 3km to Jemeluk one day which would normally take us 30min. Took an hour due to hills, walking on dusty roadside with no footpath, and the heat! Stony beach at the resort, but Lipah just down the road is nicer and sandy. Steep driveway and lots of stairs, not an issue for us but would be for anyone who isn’t fit and unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. Bad lighting in the room and especially bathroom, and no extraction fan in bathroom. But think this is typical of cheaper hotels in Bali.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Room with ocean view, mosquito net just in case, local restaurant (the curry and the sate were really good!), two diving centers next door and diving or snorkeling just outside
Cons: A bit limited regarding food options (although gusto was really good) without a scooter but that is probably the definition of a first world problem
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We love that it was right on the beach, the two pools were fabulous with the daybeds overlooking the ocean. Our room was spacious with a balcony with ocean views. The food was great, the stall were lovely, always smiling and helpful. The dive facility attached was fantastic. We would return in a heartbeat!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing, we arrived at 9.a.m. not for one minute expecting a room to be ready, but they went out if their way to have our room available. The facilities are excellent, sea front property with a huge deep dive pool and another along side. The menu offered something for everyone, simply delicious. Wonderful for all ages, quite, private if you want, would thoroughly recommend. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.
Cons: We honestly couldn't fault this resort.

6,3 Good
Pros: Close to the beach, nice staff, ok for families
Cons: Bathroom needed a revamp, or a good clean scrub Towels old and worn
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I couldn't be any happier with my decision to book with Amed Beach Resort. First, the staff were all amazing and so friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant on site that plays live music most days of the week starting at sunset and they have a nice "happy hour". Second, my room was within steps to the beach and had a patio that had a perfect view of the pool and beach. I could hear the waves at night which lulled me to sleep. It was a very peaceful experience. Third, the room was very comfortable with all the essential amenities (cold AC, hot shower, comfortable bed, towels, etc). My first night I had two pillows that were too large for my small neck. I left them a note on the bed while I was sightseeing that I needed two softer pillows. When I came back to a clean room, they replaced the harder pillows for softer ones. I was impressed by the great service! Awesome job Amed Beach Resort. I hope to come back next time I come to Amed! You won't regret booking them :).
Cons: nothing!
8,8 Excellent
Cons: I like the view, the vibe, nice ang quiet.very nice place to skip from the city side
10,0 Excellent

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel. Good location. You can rent a scooter at the hotel and drive to the snorkling spots. Great staff, we were absolutely happy with everthing. Thank you!
Cons: Wifi was not very strong in our room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Pak Komang is the host with the most, his staff are incredibly brilliant at showing you true Balinese hospitality, food is impeccable, accommodation is impeccable.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing we did not enjoy,
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff do an excellent job and are very attentive to the needs of their guests. Great location on the beach. Lovely nights with drinks, dinner and live music on the beach.
Cons: The shower was lacking pressure.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: nice place with direct access to the beach to do snorkeling. The equipment is good with a swimming pool, air conditionning in the room and a fridge.
Cons: The music at the bar is too loud and too late, until 23:30 the first night, and a bit earlier the 2nd night. That was annoying to sleep for the family.
7,1 Good
Pros: Staff helpful and friendly
Cons: Needs refurbishment. Pillows extremely hard and uncomfortable
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved, loved , loved our stay here! We stayed in room #4 and had the best view of pool with ocean right behind it. The staff was awesome! We can’t say enough about this amazing resort and staff!

Cons: Great room, great staff very helpful.
7,5 Good
Pros: Good location
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent sea and village views. Lovely chill out area and huge balcony. Food in the restaurant and portion sizes were very good, making it good value.
Cons: 90 steps to our room. Quite a lot of noise from the road.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location. Very friendly staff. Family owned and ran. Can organise scooters, tours, itineraries and general information.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This place is great value & highly recommended, I would 100% stay again. My partner and I headed to Amed for my birthday and wanted somewhere romantic, comfortable, quiet and "retreat" like, and this ticked all the boxes. The food was absolutely superb. We ate all our meals here over four days. Great vegetarian options, both western and local style meals and good prices. They bring your meals to your private terrace. Also free afternoon tea which was great, tasty homemade baked scones and cakes and tea. Our room was beautiful and spacious, the bed huge with a gorgeous bathroom had a large spa bath. A large private terrace with views - wow! Room had a tv & dvd player and there are a large selection of dvds to choose from. Across from the hotel is a beautiful stoney beach where you can snorkel and see a sunken ship. Wifi worked well. We barely left the hotel our whole stay.
Cons: There was confusion & miscommunication around booking a snorkel tour, it needs to be clear that the hotel doesn't book these for you, the staff independently do. No biggie but worth mentioning - there is no phone reception in the area, however wifi was excellent and worked from our room. It is quite out of the main Amed town, perhaps a 10-15min scooter (which you can rent). In our opinion this was a benefit though as it's a less crowded area and has a quiet beach across the road
7,5 Good
Pros: The location, the calm, the friendly staff, the food, and the amazing view from the terrace.
Cons: We had room service for lunch on our terrace and the plates was not cleaned until next morning. Not everything was available on the breakfast menu. We had some misfortune with the cold water.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location is just above the Japanese shipwreck diving site so it's very convenient. The villa has a really good view of the beach and truly spacious, providing a cosy place to hang out. Food surpasses our expectation and don't miss the complimentary afternoon tea. One of the best scone on this part of the island! Very friendly staff as well.
Cons: Nothing
4,6 Okay
Pros: The daybed in the living area was lovely as was the 'Princess' bed in the main bedroom. The view from the outdoor living area was spectacular but unfortunately it was marred by a massive power line.
Cons: I was very disappointed in the property especially after I had done a lot of research to find the perfect place for our stay in Amed. The hotel is a very long way from Amed town and it seemed to take forever to get there up and down hills and around windy roads. There was one staff member (a young lady) who assisted us with check in who was lovely but I feel like the young man who attended us for the rest of our stay didn't really want to be there. The hotel is very old and in desperate need of renovation. The food was expensive for what we got and I was disappointed in how much we had to pay for breakfast when many of the items we ordered were supposed to be included in the price of the room. This hotel is one of the most expensive properties in Amed (apart from a few high quality luxury Villas) and I feel that it was definitely not worth what we paid.
7,9 Good
Pros: The views from the villa patio are incredible, didnt want to leave this place.
Cons: Absolutely no phone reception, wifi was pretty slow. Its great for disconnecting but we were expecting to be in touch with the world and driving 10 minutes just to get internet was a bummer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious rooms and outdoor areas Great views Friendly and helpful staff Situated out of the main part of town so nice and quiet.

5,0 Okay
Pros: The villas and the property are very good. Reasonable prices at the restaurant in front of the beach
Cons: Service didn’t really pay attention to requests and most of all horrible and continuous harassment at the beach by the massage girls and the fishermen (who offer boat tours, but are more dishonest persons and of good advices... absolutely to avoid). In general it turns the place into an inconfortable place, you want to escape.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place right on the beach. Restaurant food excellent- fruit plate in morning, iced coconut coffee delicious. Very helpful and friendly staff.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: everything was perfect.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location on a beach with excellent snorkelling. Beautiful gardens with lots of hammocks. Very helpful people on the beach with good advice and snorkelling gear. Nyoman Tim was a great driver.
Cons: Wifi slow and patchy. Our bungalow was close to the road and there was a bit of traffic noise (not much, Lipah is a quiet place) and loud karaoke a couple of nights. Breakfast got a bit boring after a few days. No ATM close by so bring enough cash for your stay.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very Nice villa, swimming pool and garden beautiful, restaurant amazing.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great location on one of the quieter beaches in Amed. Immaculate grounds. Bungalow was perfect size for our family of 3. Great snorkeling right off the beach with turtle sightings too. Watched the sunrise from our balcony and from the beach below, stunning. Restaurant was very nice too, good options for my picky daughter, superb grilled mahi and lots of nice veg options. We’d love to come back.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place to stay with family and kids. Staff were so helpful and lovely. The food was amazing! They make their own jam, bread and pasta.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Villas for 4 people are big and excellent Restaurant over lunch and dinner serves nice local dishes with a decent quality Super friendly service The set up is authentic and in the middle of the neighbourhood. Not a ghetto isolated from the rest of Bali
Cons: Basic breakfast and the way it is presented. This is OK if you stay for a few days but not really if you stay for a week or longer Pizza in the restaurant has nothing in common with an Italian pizza
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was a fantastic stay with my family (10 people!) for three days! The accommodation was beautiful and very clean, a few steps away from a great swimming pool and the beach where we were able to rent a boat for a fabulous snorkelling trip easily! Right from the beach we snorkelled and saw already lots of different fish, and just a five minutes drive on the boat and you can see turtles! The breakfast was very delicious with lots of different types of food available and we spent most lunches and dinners at the restaurant there too as it has fantastic food and is located directly on the beach...just perfect for a tranquil and peaceful holidays away from the crowds!
Cons: we enjoyed everything!

Pros: It's a lovely resort set in a garden, very laid back & relaxing. The pool is an absolute delight although pretty cold. The bathroom is bigger than the room which was amusing but nice. Loved the balcony & the hammocks. Really didn't miss the TV. Very idyllic village, a few shops on the main road to left and a few to the right of the hotel. We were able to rent snorkels & boats right on the beach of the hotel. We met bleached haired, Kartuth on the beach. He's a fixer, you want snorkeling gear, boat - he's your man. Seek him out. He also took us to a Warung Indah right next to Coral View, on the left beach side. It's a 2 min walk on the beach but also has a separate entrance from the road. Massage ladies wait at the beach and there's also one a few minutes walk away. You can snorkel just off the beach & also dive. Euro divers is also next door. We had a great time with Chris from Euro Divers.
Cons: The towels were not changed for 2 days till I had to walk down to reception and demand they be changed. They don't have an intercom in the bungalows. The breakfast was a let down, just too basic. Bread, home-made jams, fruits, muesli, milk, coffee & eggs cooked to order. They could be a little more inventive and give a little more effort for their guests to have a nice breakfast during their vacation. I think their restaurant is a fail. The service is crappy, most are interns and we had to call them a few times to get their attention on our 1st day. On the last night, we were late getting back, the restaurant had closed but it was only half past 10 at night. The mini-mart had also closed and i had no cigarettes. I asked at the reception if they could help me get a pack or if i could get a ride in one of their motorbikes to go up the hill to look for a store but they were discouraging. i just hoped they would gave a little more effort to help me out but there was none. They have no room service so there's nothing to eat if you get in late after a 3 hour journey from the airport. Yes, 3 hrs. The establishment must look into have some arrangement for late check-ins to have a meal or buy some essentials as the whole village is dead quite by 10:30-11 pm.

Pros: This hotel is such a nice place to relax and chill! The hotel staff was super nice and we had a wonderful time there. The view is stunning! The food was delicious! We would definitely come back if we visit Amed again! Thank you!
7,9 Good
Pros: The view... Amazing. The staff fantastic. The peace and serenity.
Cons: No fridge in rooms and a fair walking distance to warungs etc.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had the best time staying here. we came with a family of 10 taking up 5 rooms we were made very welcome. From the wonderful staff June especially, food, our room with a view, pool and well groomed gardens. Thank you. We didn’t want to go home. We will return one day.
Cons: Really need coffee & tea making facilities for the early rises even if you had a coffee station set up in restaurant. Luckily we read someone else’s review and brought our own.
7,1 Good
Pros: The location is amazing and the room was confortable. I liked the king size bed.
Cons: The stairs were very dangerous for kids. We didn’t receive any welcome, just the keys without explanations...we had to ask and they were very responsive. It is missing charm and nice decoration but the view is literally unforgettable.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful! Rooms were large and well equiped with various mosquito repellents! Was very pleasantly surprised!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff carefull about you and very nice. Helping you about everythings with the best opportunities. Big thank you to June. Room nice and causy, big bathroom with hot water. Amazing swiming pool, can feel like on the sea. Daily clean. Very good food (fish and others). Near very nice spots of snorckling.
Cons: Nothing, everythings are perfect.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really good . Especially guy in charge June did what ever they could to make us happy. Gave special local meal to my partner which was really appreciated. Coral out front of hotel quite good comparable or better than more popular spots. View from dining area very nice. A.c. worked well.
Cons: When we arrived we were told we could have one of the better rooms for two nights then would have to shift to a lesser room. Unsure if the price we paid was for a better room or not. Pricing unclear in translating it from website to the actual place. The room we got turned out to be quieter which suited us. Room behind to beach front units.noise from abutting two units transfers easily to this room.
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Air conditioning not very good

7,5 Good
Pros: - the pool was awesome - so was the bathroom - right next to the beach - staff was friendly Overall you won't regret coming here but there are improvement points
Cons: - overall, everything feels old and used, the furniture, the surroundings, cups and plates - it was clean, but could be cleaner - the breakfast was kinda meager and simple
7,5 Good
Pros: Directly on a sandy snorkeling beach, lovely and lush garden, nice pool.
Cons: The rooms are a bit dark and lack atmosphere and charm. The hotel is far from the center.
6,7 Good
Pros: The best bit about the hotel is that it is right next to the sea. If you turn right out of the beach side of the hotel and walk about 10 minutes to the end curve of the bay there is some decent snorkelling to be had. Similarly you can hire a boat and guide from the stand hiring out snorkelling gear by the hotel’s beach entrance and it’s a quick journey to some lovely snorkelling spots such as the underwater temple. Nice outside bathroom and comfy beds.
Cons: Food in the restaurant was overpriced and not great. The swimming pool was freezing (although this might be a Bali thing, it was freezing at another hotel we stayed at). It’s advertised as a spa but there is no spa, there just happens to be women offering massages on the beach directly outside the hotel. Decor was sparse in the villas too.
6,7 Good
Pros: Nice grounds
Cons: Very poor breakfast hardly any food and what was there was disgusting
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The place is great. We had a wonderful cottage close to the swimming pool. The bathroom was amazing. So close to nature with stones and free standing big bath. We just loved it. The staff is sooo friendly. We could not ask for better place to stay in Amed. It is almost on the beach btw:)
Cons: The food is not the best quality- as for Bali.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We love the peaches and tranquility, the view, the quality of the restaurant, walking into the sea and being able to snorkel. Everything really. The staff were wonderful. They make their own peanut butter, jams, bread and pickles. The food was wonderful. We would return for longer.
Cons: Four days wasn’t enough.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast included was great, snorkelling was amazing and location perfect, food fantastic!!
Cons: 2 seperate rooms (kids in a different room) and fan on front porch and we had no hot water the whole time.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location by the beach. Friendly helpful staff, good WiFi. Good food at restaurant
Cons: Occasional problem with lack of hot water
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was so lovely and caring, always ensuring we had everything we needed. Relaxing environment and amazing food! Walking distance to some great snorkeling spots.
Cons: Nothing. Would come back!

2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Really good restaurant.
Cons: Expensive place. Not welcoming at all. Service wasn't good, people just doesn't speak english, only few. Don't ask for a nanny for the baby, they ask more than in France ! Room wasn't clean (a lot of dirty traces in the bedroom), and really noisy, just next to the road, except expensive villas ! During our three weeks across Bali (sanur, ubud, amed, gili, lombok), it was the worst places we ever meet.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff were wonderful and very friendly. The sate at the hotel restaurant was served sizzling over a mini bbq and was delicious. Highly recommended. The garden areas around the bungalows are beautiful.
Cons: The hotel is located in Bunutan village. If you want to go out exploring or eating at other places, I recommend a motorbike or driver as its a bit far to walk anywhere. If you are happy to stay at the hotel, its perfect.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great bungalows - Best food I had in bali so far - very nice staff
7,9 Good
Pros: The rustic huts were absolutely lovely and the pool setting was beautiful with the ocean right there. It’s a small hotel, only a handful of huts which means it wasn’t so busy or too loud. The restaurant food was really delicious and well prepared and the staff were all lovely and friendly.
Cons: We had to change rooms, rooms at back are very dark, some lights weren’t working and there was no breeze in the back so that was quite unpleasant. We were made to pay for an upgrade even though the original room was quite unacceptable given the price. Our opinion, the only rooms worth the price are the 3 ocean front ones.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Eveyrthing was great! Stunning location, the view from our bungalow was beautiful. The pool amazing. It is close to Jemeluk beach (great for sunset) and the beach in front of the hotel is great as well (perfect for sunrise). We appreciated the tea served at 6am in front of our room. The restaurant in the evening was good, breakfast as well
Cons: Stayed only 1 night
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely accommodation and great location for Amed
Cons: Be aware there is a bar across the road that cranks really really loud music a couple of nights a week until 11pm. These 2 nights were the first 2 of our 3 night stay. Last night was very peaceful and super enjoyable.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Looks good on photos and the pool.
Cons: Smell of sewage in the restaurant and at the pool. Smell of insecticides in the hut (perhaps against termites). Food, we rather ate at Corner warung outside (better taste, larger portions, lower price).
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Our house was on the back of the hotel area. There was a lot of traffic on that road especialy in the morning. For the rest a perfect place to stay!
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice rooms Very nice garden and pool area Good breakfast Nice staff
Cons: Ask not to be in rooms 7 to 10 because at the back of the hotel and very noisy at night (road and music bar until late !!!) The hotel needs a 5 min drive from the center or other restaurants and it is very expensive !!! 10€ back and forth !!!! The hotel should give at least a free shuttle back and forth once a day for his price !

7,5 Good

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and the grounds are nicely maintained. I like that the hotel is maintaining traditional customs of salt making on the property. The staff is very helpful and arranged for us to take a ride on a local boat to visit arch the sunset from the water.

Cons: The bathroom was a bit old, typical for Indonesian hotels. Very clean however.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: It was a beautiful place, right on the beach, with a nice pool. The bar staff was very attentive.
Cons: My room came with ear plugs. Later I realized that the walls were as thin as paper. Everything could be heard unfortunately. I would suggest that there be a Do Not Disturb sign in the rooms, every morning the cleaning service woke me up to ask if they could clean the room.
6,3 Good
Cons: The surroundings were extremly loudy, motors, musics, and much more specialy in the evening and morning.
7,1 Good
Pros: Big pool directly at the beach with very good spa
Cons: Food in the restaurant

Overview Reviews

7,1 Good
Pros: Good location. Clean and neat room with a fantastic view. No complaints about the room, good value
Cons: Quite unfortunate that the owner's wife attempted to scam us by telling us that the fastboat to Gili Islands was cancelled and proceeded to try to sell us a more expensive ticket in another town (which we were already aware is a common scam in Amed), to give the taxi driver who hangs out at the establishment a job. After we turned her offer down, she let the driver come up to our room, who continued to attempt to get our business. If that hadn't happened, I would've been quite happy with the place
7,9 Good
Pros: The view, the owner and the staff.
7,1 Good
Pros: Air conditioning worked and food at the restaurant was excellent.
Cons: The bedding was dirty. One of the pillows was so mouldy that it looked dangerous. The snorkeling gear wasn’t worth hiring, they were mismatched, in poor condition and cost more than I expected they would.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic view from the superior room. Good location. Friendly staff
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The hotel had great rooms, we had a view on the ocean, we were close to a beach and only some 5 minutes walk from a popular snorkeling bay and restaurants. But in itself this is not that uncommon in Amed, most hotels are beautiful. But, the staff at Titi Sedana was soo great! They really spoiled us, were so sweet and kind and made us feel so welcome and special and happy that I wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. They are so eager to speak English with you to improve their level, cleaned and tidied our room and boyy, the food in the restaurant was so good! I think it was one of the best dinners I had so far.
Cons: We had to walk very steep stairs, but that's what you get if you want to have the seaview room. And it was good for my excercise time, so I did not really mind. It can just be hard if you are not ver mobile.
7,5 Good
Pros: First of all, this is truly one of the cheapest private room you will find in Amed. The hosts are lovely and friendly. The breakfast is very very simple but tasty. The cleanliness of the room is top notch. The location is on the hill and the room is far away from the road, so you will definitely have peace and quiet. You will need to climb quite a few steps up a narrow stairwell. The sea breeze makes it way into the room and so there is great ventilation if you keep the doors open. There is hot water for the shower.
Cons: Although it is the cheapest room, they can do a lot better in terms of maintaining the room. What you are not told when you book is that it is a fan room, and you have to pay extra for AC. It gets really hot in the morning and afternoon as the sun rises directly in front of the room. In the night, if you leave the door opened slightly, you won't have any problems with ventilation. Since it's dry season, there wasn't many mozzies, but I reckon it'd be a bother during rainy season. The other thing you will not be told is that the view of the room is 80% blocked by the roof of the room infront. Which personally wasn't a big deal but for those looking for a seaview, you'll only get to see the blue ocean from the sides of the roof blocking you. As for the room itself, it is really old and outdated and needs some care. A fresh coat of paint, removing old termite nests, replacing/removing grit off the showerhead so you'll get a decent stream of water, repairing the sliders for the front doors so it does not bang around One of the easiest to take care of, is screwing the toilet properly into the floor. It moves and that's not great. It's not something anybody wants when they sit upon a toilet. The furniture in the room looks like it has seen better days, there is no lock on the cupboard doors and the backing of the cupboard is falling apart. The pillows are alright, but one smelled weird. Maybe an extra case will do the trick? The outdoor lounger could do with a new cover as well. Please put in a little bit more effort in maintaining your rooms, it can be a lot more pleasant instead of passing it off as just one of the cheapest room. I am sure taking care of these issues will help your business.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Our stay was very nice, the staff was amazing and the room too. The food in the restaurant itself is great with fresh fish.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: 1. Balcony door unable to lock. 2. Bathroom door not close properly, so i need to put paper to make it close perfectly. 3. Pros: Lovely family who will help with anything! Excellent breakfast, each room had wonderful ocean views, clean, 1 minutes walk to a rocky beach - doesn't seem like much but the snorkeling was perfect away from anyone else.
Cons: small drainage problem in shower should get fixed.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The view is unreal
7,9 Good
Pros: The bungalow and the terrasse with the view on the sea. It was clean even if the sanitary need to be refreshed.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit light : 1 toast and a half with a little bit of scrambled egg (we also tried the pancake, just 1 thin, and also the fruit salad which was just 3 slices of pineapple and some pieces of watermelon) + 1 drink : 1 coffee or 1 tea or 1 juice which was cut with water.

Pros: Big place, awesome view to the sea. Loved it.

Pros: Small property with lovely pool area.
Cons: We upgraded to a superior room as the standard rooms were a bit tired.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It is super lovely and on the ocean! Very clean, spacious, and good internet.
Cons: The food was only ok. As well, we don’t eat much meat or dairy so few options. The staff was sweet and helpful even though the restaurant over charged us (we paid to have breakfast included), the front desk sorted it out.
5,4 Okay
Pros: The Food was good, staff great, pool great, gardens lovely.
Cons: Would have liked a fan in the room instead of aircon all night. You had to walk through the shower area to get to the toilet so your feet would get wet if you had already had a shower. Not enough English channels on tv. Bedside lights were not bright enough to read in bed.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: - pool area - beachfront property - quiet location (still some supermarkets and restaurants closeby)
Cons: - There is no curtain/glass/... between the toilet and shower, so everything gets wet after taking a shower - We asked the staff about boat transfers to Gili for the next day and had been told that the boats are fully booked. Turned out there were still tickets available when we just booked it online...a bit weird
7,1 Good
Pros: The view the swimming pool and the beach access
Cons: The bed is noisy. And I booked 2 massages with the lobby for 180000rp/per then I saw 2 lovely woman from the village who didn't know what is massage and relaxing. I cancel one and accept to pay for the other but it was so terrible! I can't imagine how much they were paid by the lobby.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: All the staff is great Beds are very comfortable and rooms far away from the restaurant and the swimming pool, which means no noice on the morning (great!) Very nice garden The swimming pool is nice with a nice view on the beach Little snooker available for good time with friends Books also available in different languages, pretty cool when you don’t have anything to read

Pros: The property was on the beach with a good view of the sunrise. Price included both breakfast and dinner. The staff were quite frienldly and could communicate satisfactorily in English.
Cons: The shower head was blocked with hard water residue and did not have a decent spray. Maintenance on this basic issue seems missing. The room was not equipped with bottled water (and industry standard in Indonesia) and there was no ability to make even instant coffee, If you took your key with you when you were sightseeing they could not clean your room because (they said) they had no master key. Bathroom lighting was extremely poor as was the bedroom area. There were no bedside tables and only one garbage can (in the dark bathroom). The overall price was almost double for what you would pay for similar accomodation in the Denpasar area
6,7 Good
Pros: Beach front pool
Cons: Breakfast was bad, pancakes only cooked on one side, so doughy and raw. Bed was rock hard and old, could feel every spring digging into your body. Our group had 3 rooms and all had the same issues. Toilets won't flush and water pump surges which makes it hard to have a shower. Pool was green and full of floating algae Glad we didn't pay the full price due to booking online discount.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely pool, and enjoyed the swing sea overlooking the beach. Breakfast only OK, though hot chocolate good.
Cons: The coral off the beach is badly damaged, but you can swim out from the hotel.
5,4 Okay
Cons: Leaking air con ,no shower pressure, no milk at breakfast, mouldy bread
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else!
Cons: Aircon didn't work
7,9 Good
Pros: The staff was wonderful and the restaurant prepared the best dinner we had in Bali. Just can not say enough of how good it tasted. The location is beach front and the pool looked nice. The over all room was very nice except for the AC and some plumbing issues at the moment.
Cons: Air conditioning needed a charge, could not keep up in day time. Toilet had flushing issues.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The design and layout of the beachfront accommodation was just wonderful! Totally exceeded expectations. And try the mango juice.
6,7 Good
Pros: Room and surroundings were lovely. Met some lovely guests. Staff were great.
Cons: No tea and coffee facilities even tho we did receive an answer when we requested these telling us okay. Upon arrival we were informed that they would give us a thermos of hot water every morning. Restaurant didn’t open until 7am and as my husband and I are early risers this was not suitable. We spoke to the owner and told him we would gladly pay for a kettle for our room. The owner did in fact buy a kettle and did indeed charge us the equivalent of 35 aud!!! The breakfast was very ho hum, quite a few choices for lunch and dinner.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Everything else was amazing....food was excellent, staff was super friendly and helpful and can arnage activities!
Cons: Our shower didn't have much pressure for the hot water.
